Discs are collectible vinyl records in Donkey Kong Bananza that add songs to the in-game music list, which is accessed through the Music Player at Getaways and the Massive Speaker in the Groove Layer. They are randomly dropped from enemies after defeating them; in the post-game, they can also be purchased at a Chip Exchange for 100 Banandium Chips each. Trustytones may also give Donkey Kong a disc if he tips them after using their services. Collecting a disc through any method adds a random song that they have heard before (indicated in the song menu by its name being grayed out) to the collection. If Pauline wears the Diva Dress, the chances of discs being dropped by enemies are doubled. The disc's default appearance is a purple- and blue-gradient center with one of the musical notes seen throughout the game (resembling a pair of headphones), though many of the songs' discs have unique art when viewed in the song menu.

There are 110 discs in total. The DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC adds an addition eight discs, bringing the total to 118. Collecting all 110 base-game discs alongside all 777 unique Banandium Gems is required to earn a star on the player's save file.

Some discs are not acquired randomly. Upon first building a Getaway, one disc, "Getaway," is automatically added to the collection. Additionally, each rehearsal has a set of five disc balloons that unlock the instrumental version of the respective Bananza theme ("Breaking Through (Heart of Gold): Karaoke" in the case of the final rehearsal, the Great Harmoneel's Windpipe) when all of them are popped. Additionally, after clearing the Great Harmoneel's Windpipe at the Planet Core and speaking to the Li'l Eelevator in front of the Great Harmoneel, the latter grants Donkey Kong the disc for the original version of "Breaking Through (Heart of Gold)." In the Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC, upon taking the Eelevator to DK Island for the first time, the "DK Island (Daytime)" disc is automatically added to the collection, while the "DK Island (Sunset)" disc is added after the DLC's credits. Additionally the Emerald Rush (Super Mario Version) can only be bought from Squawks for a limited time during the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary collaboration event. After all randomly unlockable songs have been unlocked, discs will no longer be dropped by enemies or sold at the Chip Exchange, and Trustytones will no longer request a tip.
