A Boohemoth[1] is a type of Big Boo that appears in New Super Mario Bros. 2 . It is the largest Boo, and unlike other Boos, a Boohemoth has normal human-like incisors instead of fangs, visible cheeks and chin, and two eyeholes with a white iris or sclera and black pupils. A Boohemoth has a very low-pitched laugh compared to its fellow Boos.

New Super Mario Bros. 2[edit ]
Boohemoths appear in only two different Ghost Houses: World 2- Ghost House and World Flower- Ghost House. In World 2- Ghost House, a Boohemoth appears in the main corridor. In World Flower- Ghost House, when Mario or Luigi swims through the flooded hallway, the water level decreases and a Boohemoth appears. In these specific areas of the two Ghost Houses, a Boohemoth appears out of nowhere and starts following Mario or Luigi. It controls the movement of the camera; as such, Boohemoths can restrict the movement of the player (who cannot go offscreen to the left and right), and their departure allows the player to move freely again. Just like normal Boos, if Mario or Luigi turns to face a Boohemoth, it closes its eyes with its hands and remains motionless along with the camera. However, unlike normal Boos, if Mario or Luigi stares at the Boohemoth for a while when far away from it, it peeks through its hands and inches its way to him. A Boohemoth's large size prevents Mario or Luigi from being able to go through, and he loses a life if he gets squished between the Boohemoth and a wall. A Boohemoth is invincible entirely, even from Gold Mario, Invincible Mario, or White Raccoon Mario, so Mario or Luigi has to only avoid the Boohemoth until he makes it to the exit.
Mario Kart series[edit ]
In Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , a statue based on a Boohemoth is seen on top of the entrance of Twisted Mansion. A Boohemoth itself appears in Mario Kart World in the background of Boo Cinema, and is said to be presenting the film Boo Castle. In Mario Kart World, Boohemoth also appears during the mission where placers race around Ghost Valley 3.
