Boo Cinema is the third course of the Leaf Cup in Mario Kart World , and is the starting point of the Spiny Rally. It is set in the ghostly eastern part of the forest region in the north of the game's map.^[2] The course, as the name indicates, is set around a ghostly cinema filled with Boos. Through the theater's screen is a sepia-tinted section with giant film strips which are driven on. The movie that is driven through is titled Boo Castle , and stars Peach in her Vacation outfit, and Boohemoth, who also appears in the movie section of the track. In addition to the frequent Nabbit, Chargin' Chuck, Spike, and Pianta, players can turn into Peepa on this course via the Kamek item. It is the only course in the game where players can unlock Peepa.

The course is accessed by driving through various Ghost Valley courses.

Course layout[edit ]

The course begins with a room with two right turns, followed by a room where the track turns right then left. At the end of the second room, racers drive through the movie screen, upon which the course gains a sepia tint, which also applies to the racers.^[3] This leads to the film strip road (showing Boo Castle's titular castle and a terrified Peach), which turns right then goes into a long left turn with Dash Panels on the outer half of it. There is then a drop down to a straightaway, with a shorter drop at its end. Next there is a U-turn to the left, into a turn to the right, into a Glide Ramp that ends the film strip section. There is then a straightaway, followed by a large right turn with raised rails in the middle. This leads to the finish line.^[4]

All routes involving Boo Cinema go through at least one Ghost Valley course.

• Ghost Valley 1 is at least partially driven through in every route. Dandelion Depths and Mario Circuit only go through Ghost Valley 1.
• Ghost Valley 2 is partially driven through in routes involving Dry Bones Burnout and Acorn Heights.
• Ghost Valley 3 is driven through in routes involving Starview Peak.

• The countdown on the movie screen is synced with the player's distance from the screen; it counts down when the player moves towards the screen, and rewinds if the player moves away. The rate of countdown or rewind is proportional to the player's speed, and it halts when the player is still.
