Diggas[1] are enemies in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and its Nintendo Switch port, resembling yellow Bullet Bills with a drill in front of each of them. Diggas appear exclusively in Spin-Dig Galaxy.
Diggas drill with their bodies exposed and move in set circular paths along the surface, ignoring Mario (or Luigi). On one rectangular planet, Diggas briefly stop moving along the surface to dig through a wall and come out the other side. They are also launched from the underside of the boss Digga-Leg, like how its predecessor, Megaleg, launches Bullet Bills out of its body. These Diggas burrow all the way through the planet before beginning their typical circular motion. They can be easily destroyed by any type of jump, or with a Spin Drill.
In a pre-release screenshot, Diggas' eyes were farther apart and designed much differently from the final, furthering the resemblance to Bullet Bills.

Naming[edit ]
"Digga" is a phonetic respelling of "digger", matching its pronunciation in non-rhotic English dialects.
