Hat Catapults,[1] also referred to as Slingshots,[2] are interactable objects in Super Mario Odyssey . They are light-blue U-shaped objects that float just off the ground. When Mario throws Cappy at a Hat Catapult, Mario is drawn into the catapult and launched in a high arc to platforms or areas that are normally unreachable. The player cannot change the trajectory of a Hat Catapult in any way. Hat Catapults are also used to quickly get back to a previous area of a kingdom.
