Yes, ADB offers spouse employment for International Staff's spouses and registered domestic partners to enhance our organizational capabilities. The standard recruitment process will be followed.
If you have close relatives working at ADB, you are generally not eligible for employment, except if you are the spouse of an ADB International Staff member. Close relatives include spouses, children, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
a) Fixed term for Senior Staff: This is a full-time appointment for senior managerial level staff, with renewal options.
b) Fixed term with Option to Renew: A full-time appointment for up to three years with renewal options.
c) Fixed term with Option to Regularize: A full-time appointment for an initial three years, with option to convert to regular appointment.

Following the interviews, the selection panel evaluates candidates and makes the final decision. Candidates who have undergone panel interviews usually receive feedback within a month. Successful candidates may receive a pre-offer. You will be informed about the outcome of your application, regardless of the result.
In some cases, applications for some positions deemed appropriate for future roles will be retained on file for 2 years. To be considered for a particular vacancy, you need to apply for it through our application process actively. We recommend regularly checking our employment opportunities, identifying positions that fit your qualifications and interests, and submitting your application. This guarantees that your candidacy is reviewed and taken into account for suitable job openings.
A pre-identified external candidate may also be considered for recruitment. If he/she has been found suitable by a selection panel for a similar position within nine (9) months of the panel's assessment, the candidate's qualifications and the panel's assessment will be re-assessed for recruitment.
Offers at ADB are determined through a thorough process that considers multiple factors. Salaries are based on a structured salary system with specific ranges for different levels, aligned with standards and the responsibilities of each role. The offer decision is influenced by the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and the specific requirements of the position.
The offer includes the recommended level, salary, position details, estimated remuneration package and other relevant references.
ADB conducts due diligence including reference check, medical clearance and documentary requirements.
You will receive a formal offer through DocuSign. The formal offer will be confirmation of all the details provided during the pre-offer and will also include reference materials such as the Code of Conduct and relevant Administrative Orders. At this point, you will be asked to indicate your reporting date.
The offer is open for acceptance for three (3) days from the date it is served.
The assumption is that you will be able to report for duty within thirty-five (35) calendar days or two (2) months if it involves relocation.
Flexibility may be provided depending on circumstances.
Once you accept an offer, your ACES profile will include an "Onboarding tasks" tab which will serve as your guide to a process that will help you smoothly transition into your new role.
Once your Onboarding tab is activated, you will have access to relevant policies, information on appointment benefits, and a step-by-step process for relocating, if applicable to your appointment.
ADB operates on a hybrid setup, where staff are required to report to the office 3 times a week and may work from home for the remaining 2 days.
