Project Performance Evaluation Reports (PPERs) evaluate the design, implementation, and performance of projects and programs. They are prepared about 3 years after project completion.
Technical Assistance Performance Evaluations evaluate technical assistance projects. Usually, several TAs are covered in the same report.

Climate Change Fund, 2008–2019
The Climate Change Fund (CCF) was established in May 2008 by Asian Development Bank (ADB), from its net income. Its goal was to facilitate greater investments in developing member countries in Asia and the Pacific to address the causes and consequences of climate change, alongside ADB’s own assistance in various related sectors. As of 31 December 2019, CCF had allocated 77ドル.1 million for 118 CCF projects. The allocation of resources was concentrated on clean energy and adaptation: 39ドル.3 million for clean energy development (51%); 28ドル.5 million for adaptation (37%); 9ドル.1 million for reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and improved land use management (12%); and 0ドル.2 million for climate finance readiness (0.3%).

Regional Cooperation and Integration Fund, 2007–2019
This evaluation assessed the performance of the Regional Cooperation and Integration Fund (RCIF) for the period 2007–2019. The RCIF was established in February 2007 with the general objective of providing additional financial and knowledge resources to support the implementation of regional cooperation and integration (RCI) activities of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). By the end of 2019, the fund had total resources of 73ドル.7 million, sourced from ADB’s ordinary capital resources (OCR) net income (66ドル.0 million), contributions by the government of Japan (3ドル.6 million), and net investment income (4ドル.1 million). It had invested 73ドル.5 million in 96 technical assistance (TA) projects, of which 70 had been completed and 26 were ongoing.

Mongolia: Education Sector Reform Project
In 2008, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a grant of 10ドル million from its Special Funds resources for the Education Sector Reform Project (ESRP) in Mongolia, which was designed to support the country’s transition to a 12-year education system. This major reform represented a crucial step toward the overall aim of the Government of Mongolia to improve the quality, accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of the education sector. This project performance evaluation report concludes that the project met all 17 targets within budget, while continued government investment in ESRP-seeded activities, with ESRP policy initiatives embedded into current government operations and procedures, points to the project’s long-term sustainability.

People’s Republic of China: Xinjiang Urban Transport and Environmental Improvement Project
The Xinjiang Urban Transport and Environmental Improvement Project was designed to support sustainable socioeconomic growth and improved living standards in five cities of Xinjiang Province in the People’s Republic of China. The primary outcome was improved urban road infrastructure, traffic management, and environmental sanitation in the cities of Altay, Changji, Hami, Kuytun, and Turpan. Overall, the evaluation rates the project successful. It is considered less than relevant, effective, efficient, and likely to be sustainable. The preliminary assessment of impact is satisfactory as is the performance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and that of the borrower and executing agency.

Fiji: Third Road Upgrading (Sector) Project
The Third Road Upgrading (Sector) Project in Fiji was designed to support the development of the road sector by improving the efficiency of road sector services, increasing private sector participation in road construction and maintenance, and improving management of road assets and financial resources. To achieve these objectives, the project supported the government to improve physical road conditions and reform sector institutions. Overall, the evaluation assessed the project successful. It was relevant, effective, less than efficient, and likely sustainable. The preliminary development impact was satisfactory. The performance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) was satisfactory while that of the borrower was considered less than satisfactory.

People's Republic of China: Risk Mitigation and Strengthening of Endangered Reservoirs in Shandong Province Project
The Risk Mitigation and Strengthening of Endangered Reservoirs in Shandong Province Project in the People’s Republic of China was designed to improve economic development in the downstream areas of project reservoirs in Shandong Province. It sought to establish a sustainable and replicable reservoir rehabilitation model. The evaluation assesses the project’s performance successful overall. It was relevant, effective, efficient, and likely sustainable. The rehabilitation of the seven reservoirs achieved the desired technical standards on designing flood volume and dam safety measures.

Nepal: School Sector Program
This program performance evaluation report was undertaken to assess the performance of the School Sector Program (SSP) in Nepal.
Using a policy-based lending modality, the SSP was designed to support a broad education sector reform program, under a sector wide approach. Its overarching objective was the enhancement of educational attainments and livelihoods in Nepal, particularly for girls and disadvantaged groups.

Strengthening Safeguard Capacity in the Pacific
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has undertaken diagnostic works and capacity support to strengthen safeguard capacity in the Pacific region under multiple technical assistance (TA) grants. This Technical Assistance Performance Evaluation Report evaluates eight TA projects that ADB provided for Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, and Vanuatu. The total value was 2ドル.6 million.
