Malboros are vegetal enemies in the Final Fantasy games that debuted in Final Fantasy II . They appear in Mario Hoops 3-on-3 on the Malboro Garden stage, one positioned behind both baskets. The Malboros in this game have a unique appearance from most other titles, with five huge orange eyes and a long mouth. In other games, Malboros usually have dozens of small eyes on stalks and tentacles, rather than the five large eyes and three tentacles in this game. When a player gets too close to one, it will use its signature attack, Bad Breath, a toxic purple gas that will knock any player who touches it down and make them slower.
