Appears in Mario Tennis Fever (2026)

The Ice Chomp is a boss in Mario Tennis Fever . It appears in Ice Ruins as the final boss. It was originally a large Flame Chomp, but after eating the Ice Racket, its flames became chunks of ice, granting it ice abilities. The arena is located at the top of the ruins in a room with ice walls, where Swoops emerge, and with an antechamber in the front with chests and a pedestal where the Ice Racket was. During the battle, the Ice Chomp will create ice walls in the antechamber, preventing any damage to it. To destroy the ice walls, the player must return the Swoops flying in the room to the ice walls, which gradually break them, allowing damage to the Ice Chomp. To damage the Ice Chomp, a Swoop must be returned to one of its three ice segments, which destroys it. After the Ice Chomp is damaged, all the ice walls in the antechamber are destroyed, and the Ice Chomp enters a state of invulnerability and begins to attack. Its attacks consist of spitting multiple Ice Balls and quickly lunging at the player to bite them. After the Ice Chomp finishes its attacks, it will move back to the antechamber and create ice walls again. As the battle continues, the Ice Chomp will become more aggressive and faster, moving more quickly and attacking more rapidly. When all three segments of the Ice Chomp have been destroyed, the Ice Chomp will explode, granting the Ice Racket to the player and allowing them to continue to the top of the Ice Ruins.
