Variant of Rotating Block
Comparable

Grab Blocks,[1] also referred to as Blue Blocks,[2] are blocks in Super Mario World . They resemble Rotating Blocks but are dark blue in color. Grab Blocks can be picked up, causing them to start flashing,[3] and kicked away to defeat enemies or reach distant Prize Blocks. A Grab Block breaks a few seconds after being picked up. Yoshi can instantly swallow any activated Grab Block. A minor glitch occurs if the player takes a Grab Block through a pipe, causing the block to last indefinitely. Grab Blocks are first seen in Yoshi's Island 2.

A similar type of block named the White Block was previously introduced in Super Mario Bros. 3 , except it resembles either a white or light-blue Brick Block. New Super Mario Bros. Wii would go on to introduce its own similar type, Ice Block, except it is slippery and does not self-destruct.
