I am a native of the Buffalo metro area. In my spare time, I frequent BuffaloRising, SkyscraperCity, and AARoads, where I post pictures of local projects.

In fact, many of the pictures I take for these sites can be found on my Commons profile as I only take them for public use with attribution.^[a]

Here on Wikipedia, the scope of my content creation is somewhat limited to Upstate New York and the Buffalo area, but I am open to exploring new things. That's what this project is all about.

In reality, I've been on here since 2006, but primarily in the form of test accounts for childish edits before 2010.

• I don't agree with those who say Instagram has more value than Flickr; I use both, too. One is akin to a Polaroid instant camera for special moments, and the other is for showcasing, examining analyzing every pixel in an image.
• I do agree with the concept of freely licensed images reigning king on Wikipedia. There is always a way to document a subject without sacrificing quality or encroaching upon copyrights.

This is also a to-do list for myself so I stay organized over time.

• Taste of Buffalo, a street level photograph. This event is huge. It's great there's an overview image there, but one or more street level views would be nice.
• Allentown Art Festival; Ok, not as big of an event, but still notable. It'd be nice to have a photo.
• Medaille College; no image of the Buffalo campus.
• Sisters of Charity Hospital (Buffalo); no modern photograph.
• Kleinhans Music Hall; there's exterior shots, but nothing interior.
• Koessler Athletic Center; no picture at all there.
• Interstate 990; oddly, there's no image of the highway itself, except for the rather poor image at the terminus that doesn't really show the highway.
• Buffalo Niagara International Airport; no photograph from inside the terminal.
• Amherst State Park; no photo
• Villages Alden (village), New York, Depew, New York, East Aurora, New York, Orchard Park (village), New York, and Sloan, New York are all missing images.
