Revised Disaster and Emergency Assistance Policy (R-Paper)
This paper presents ADB’s Revised Disaster and Emergency Assistance Policy (RDEAP), providing an updated policy framework to enhance strategic guidance for ADB’s assistance for disasters and emergencies.
The Revised Disaster and Emergency Assistance Policy (RDEAP) covers risk reduction, preparedness, and response. The RDEAP introduces changes based on ADB’s experience since the Disaster and Emergency Assistance Policy (DEAP) was approved in 2004 and the evolution in global good practice.
The RDEAP provide strategic guidance to enhance the efficiency and impact of ADB’s support to DMCs for strengthening resilience to disasters and emergencies. Resilience is a pillar of sustainable development.
