Annual Report on the Implementation of the Public Communications Policy in 2017
This report assesses ADB’s implementation of its Public Communications Policy in 2017.
Timely disclosure of selected project documents slightly improved and more project documents, publications, multimedia and other materials were uploaded on ADB’s website.
In all, ADB made public 3,397 project documents in 2017, 3% more than in 2016. Since 2017, project data are more regularly provided to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), boosting ADB’s covered adjusted IATI score—a measure of the bank’s overall data disclosure versus its portfolio—to the highest level among IATI’s 621 contributors. ADB received 3,653 formal requests for information in 2017, with project-related information most in demand.
