Item #: SCP-370-JP
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-370-JP is to be contained in a 10 m x 11 m x 6 m containment cell installed with specific protective containment equipment. The containment cell must have at least four entrances on all four sides to simplify the Bogart Procedure-SoCV.
Several pieces of furniture - in particular two chairs with a dining table, a bed, a kitchenette, and a refrigerator - are to be placed in the containment cell at all times; all of these components must be durable enough to withstand use by SCP-370-JP and remain in working condition. Additional furniture is to be added as appropriate for the physical condition of SCP-370-JP-1.
Mobile Task Force へ-11 "Nursery Teachers" is currently responsible for the execution of the Bogart Procedure-SoCV; further information on the Bogart Procedure-SoCV can be obtained by contacting the assigned MTF. Once recovered via the Bogart Procedure-SoCV, SCP-370-JP-1 is to be administered Class-C amnestics and then returned to the individuals identified as their original guardians. Upon return, all involved civilians including the original guardians are to be administered Class-B amnestics.
During the SCP-370-JP-1 fostering phase, all involved civilians including the original guardians are to be administered Class-C amnestics and monitored until the time of return.
Description: SCP-370-JP is a bipedal organism, standing 2.41 m tall and weighing 128 kg. Its entire body is covered with long brown hair, except for its hands, head, and soles of feet, where glossy, sky-blue skin is exposed. Both hands have four fingers, although their structure approximates that of humans and is capable of performing precise tasks. Its head is reptilian, with a dentition similar to that of sharks and three eyes. Although it lacks the ability to speak, it appears to have a well-developed vocal apparatus for use in the expression of emotions.
Examination of internal organ function has been delayed due to the nature of its skin, which blocks any known wave-based imaging attempts, as well as its violent defensive reactions. Based on evidence from its destructive activity, it is believed that SCP-370-JP's physical capacity is approximately 17.3 times that of the average adult male human.
SCP-370-JP periodically generates a human infant aged between five months and two years (designated SCP-370-JP-1) in its larynx, and expels them from its mouth. Based on the fact that the appearance of SCP-370-JP-1 occurs simultaneously with the disappearance of an infant with identical characteristics from its original location, it is concluded that SCP-370-JP-1 is not newly created, but is transferred by SCP-370-JP.
SCP-370-JP-1 has lost their memories prior to the transfer and therefore does not react negatively to SCP-370-JP.
SCP-370-JP fosters SCP-370-JP-1 for the next 365 days. The primary activities during the fostering phase include providing meals, playing with SCP-370-JP-1, singing lullabies with a high-pitched growl, and performing other interactions deemed necessary for a proper upbringing. If any inconvenience arises in these caregiving efforts, SCP-370-JP attempts to resolve the issue with obvious dismay. If the issue is not addressed in a timely manner, it may result in random destructive actions by SCP-370-JP to the surrounding area.
Attempts to harm SCP-370-JP-1 or to separate them from SCP-370-JP result in SCP-370-JP engaging in extremely hostile and destructive activities. However, it does not take any action that would directly endanger SCP-370-JP-1, which is exploited in the Bogart Procedure-SoCV.
If SCP-370-JP-1 dies or is lost, SCP-370-JP actively engages in destructive behavior for 37 hours while constantly screaming, and then generates another SCP-370-JP-1 instance. Therefore, the Bogart Procedure-SoCV should not be executed until just before the feeding phase.
365 days after the start of the fostering phase, SCP-370-JP feeds on SCP-370-JP-1 while secreting water from its lacrimal gland and intermittently making small vocalizations. The feeding occurs gradually, with no rest for three days, with SCP-370-JP's vocal volume and water discharge intensifying throughout the period.
After the feeding is complete, SCP-370-JP engages in indiscriminate destructive activities against the surrounding environment. This continues for 3 hours, after which SCP-370-JP cower and cease all activity for 78 hours.
After 78 hours, SCP-370-JP generates another SCP-370-JP-1 instance and re-enters the fostering phase.
Addendum: Through observation of SCP-370-JP and various tests on objects destroyed by its activities, its behavioral patterns and physical capabilities were predicted. Accordingly, risk management patterns and tactics for combating SCP-370-JP were developed, and the Bogart Project was launched with the goal of establishing a procedure to retrieve SCP-370-JP-1 just before the feeding phase.
The Bogart Procedure-SoCV now has established dedicated equipment, personnel, tactics, and practices, along with the appropriate containment arrangements. This has increased the probability of retrieving SCP-370-JP-1 without incurring any irrecoverable losses to 98.73%; infrequent losses can be easily compensated for.
Since SCP-370-JP-1 has been determined to be non-anomalous based on previous testing, they are to be returned to their original caretakers after retrieval and a brief examination.
The establishment and long-term continuation of this procedure has revealed that SCP-370-JP does not require any food.
