SCP-106-JP at the time of discovery

Item #: SCP-106-JP

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-106-JP is kept in Safe ほ-7 at Site-8154's Anomalous Item Repository. Any trial should be performed under the supervision of Level 3 personnel, with the participation of Agent Hamadera.

Description: SCP-106-JP appears to be an ordinary hand axe. Its properties manifest once held by a human. Any human holding it instantly disappears from their location along with SCP-106-JP. This also applies when multiple individuals hold it simultaneously. Following this, the subject is transported into a dim forest. Such place has not yet been identified.

Regardless of the direction taken, they ultimately end at a large, spacious field with a dohyo at its center. Upon approaching it, SCP-106-JP will challenge the subject to a sumo match. Only one individual is able to participate in a match at a time. If multiple individuals are present, they may only spectate the match between SCP-106-JP-1 and the participant.
The rules are modeled after modern Japanese sumo, incorporating referees, judges, wearing of mawashi belts, dohyo entering rituals, and so on. If the subject has no prior knowledge of these rules, SCP-106-JP will explain it once they accept its challenge.
If the subject wins a match, SCP-106-JP-1 will thereafter show submissive behavior toward the winner. If the subject loses, they will be abducted into the forest under a claim of "apprenticeship".
Should the subject refuse, SCP-106-JP-1 will scold them, saying "Are you really a Japanese man?", and take them into the forest in the same way as if they had lost.

SCP-106-JP-1 is a brown bear approximately 3 meters in length that is capable of speaking Modern Japanese. It cannot speak any language other than Japanese, and no behavior other than actively suggesting sumo matches have been observed so far.

Investigation Log:

An investigation was carried out by three agents, with former sekitori Agent Hamadera as the lead.
The following is a brief transcription of the video log recorded at the time.

[The agents initially proceed in varying directions, yet they somehow ended up in the field with a dohyo within 5 minutes. This process is repeated four times.]

SCP-106-JP-1: Enough already. I have already told you many times. Unless any of you wrestle with me, no one will be leaving!

Agent Hamadera: You made that very clear. Unfortunately, trusting anyone isn't part of my job.

SCP-106-JP-1: Fine. So, who's going to face me?

Agent Hamadera: I will.

SCP-106-JP-1: Mhm, you? [SCP-106-JP-1 inspects Agent Hamadera's body from head to toe thoroughly] You look really tough! Now, allow me to explain the rules!

Agent Hamadera: You don't need to. I have heard that it is the same as today's Japanese sumo. So, just tell me what's different about wrestling with you.

SCP-106-JP-1: Yes, there is only one. The dohyo entering is only done in the style of Shiranui.

Agent Hamadera: That's all? But why?

SCP-106-JP-1: Because he used the Shiranui style.

After about 10 minutes, Agent Hamadera and SCP-106-JP-1 each entered small huts that had manifested at the corners of the field and prepared themselves.
As soon as they came out, around 100 bears of various species, including brown bear, asian black bear, polar bear, giant panda and sun bear, emerged in the vicinity, gathering as spectators around the dohyo.
When they both enter the dohyo in the Shiranui style, the spectating bears cheers loudly with excitement. These bears also spoke Japanese, and a festive atmosphere has taken over the place. Agent Imamiya, who was watching the match, was offered an One Cup Ozeki by a polar bear sitting next to him.
The initial charge occurs without the full calling by the refereeing giant panda, raising the tension between the two, Also, the time limit was 4 minutes.
Immediately after the initial charge, SCP-106-JP-1 adopted a low stance and executed a butsukamashi, but Agent Hamadera quickly opened his stance and brought it down by executing an hatakikomi.

SCP-106-JP-1: Amazing!

[The crowd shouts statements such as "He's Back!", "Let's Have a Feast!", "Carry the Axe!"]

Agent Hamadera: Ahh, so that's what this was all about?

SCP-106-JP-1: You catch on quick. It is. So, what you're thinking about now? Me and everyone else here are your best friends now. If there's anything we can do for you, just tell us.

Agent Hamadera: Alright. I want you to return everyone you've taken as your apprentices, including us three, back to where we belong.

SCP-106-JP-1: Okay.

3 agents, including Agent Hamadera, 14 sun bears, SCP-106-JP, and a single colored paper appeared inside the containment room.
On the colored paper was written, in what appeared to be SCP-106-JP-1's hand print: "Let's have another great sumo match."
