Taggits are creatures that appear in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book . They come in many different colors and the player must chase and play a game of tag with them in their level. Taggits appear in the Mountaintops and unlock Milde. There are five Taggits that the player must chase, with one being gold. They will also carry things away, like other Taggits, leaves and flowers, different creatures, and even Yoshi.

The player can also stack them up all the way to ten Taggits. Tiny Taggits also can be found hiding, but catching them are not necessary to complete the level. Their dens are underground, with one den having a Mama Taggit in it. The gold Taggits will also release tokens when on Yoshi's back. One Taggit can be found on a nut that Yoshi must chase.

On the Mountaintops page they are on a grassy mountain in the foreground. Once their level is completed, one begins rolling on a nut, unlocking Milde.

“It enjoys being chased to and fro, like a game of tag...so how about Taggit?”
