Red Electro-Koopas[1] (also formatted as Red Electrokoopas)[2] are enemies in Super Mario Sunshine . They are both a variant of Climbing Koopa and one of two kinds of Electro-Koopas, along with the blue type. Red Electro-Koopas are quadrupeds and wear a red electrical shell each. Red Electro-Koopas climb on metal screens. The Electro-Koopa King (which is colored green) causes the problem in "The Runaway Ferris Wheel." A Red Electro-Koopa can be defeated from either a kick, a punch, or a ground pound either from the other side of the metal screen or from below. A Red Electro-Koopa electrocutes Mario on contact, but it damages him from the shock, not by knocking him off the metal screen. Red Electro-Koopas crawl back and forth. A squeaking noise can be heard while a Red Electro-Koopa climbs around.
