A Moofish[1] is an enemy in Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins . They are similar to the bitan , a cow-like yōkai with a fish-like body from Japanese mythology, and cowfishes. Moofish are located in only one course—the Tree Trunk Course, where they swim around in tree sap. Moofish attacks by charging at Mario, but either a jump or a fireball can defeat it. As with the Goombas, the Moofish has a unique flattened sprite when stomped.

A monster with two horns

A strange creature with the head of a cow but the body of a fish. It swims around in the sap and chases Mario, with a fearful look on its face, when he slows down. It has a large body and horns, but it is not a very strong enemy.
