Besides completing quests or cooking delicious meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you should work towards increasing your friendship with all the characters in the game. Doing so proves incredibly beneficial as you will unlock new quests or get exclusive rewards, like unique pieces of furniture or clothing.

How to Unlock Merida

Merida is the first character you will meet in the Storybook Vale expansion, and will be unlocked shortly after you arrive. First, you must rescue Merida from her prison of Ink. Then, complete the following quests:

• Welcome to Storybook Vale (How to Unlock Merida)
• A New Chapter Walkthrough

After completing these two quests, you will be able to build Merida's House in the Bind. It will cost 5000 Star Coins to set up.

Merida only sleeps from 3 - 4 AM, so she will likely be around for you whenever you need her. She will also be at Chez Remy between 5 PM - 7 PM, and Scrooge's Store between 12 PM - 2 PM.
