Traffic

This chapter starts with James and Greenway driving home. The streets are narrow and there’s only one path to follow, so drive on. Soon you’ll stop to let Greenway off, and continue on your way home. After your phone call with Moneypenny wraps up, you’ll jump straight to James’ apartment.

Back Home

James is back home for the first time since the hotel incident.

Take your time exploring the apartment, you’ll find several mementos, including a letter explaining Cressida’s absence.

James Bond (Bond Family Photo)
Type: IntelCheckpoint: 02 Back Home
Upon returning home to the now dreadfully empty apartment, head down to Bond's room at the far end of the hallway. Inside, on the side table near the bed, you'll find the Bond Family Photo.

When you head into James’ room, there are a few more items, but interacting with the note at the window will start a cutscene where James is attacked by an unknown assassin.

This assassin doesn’t commit to full melee combos, so after blocking twice counter with a grab.

The room is fairly small so throw him into the walls and follow up with extra punishment to take him down quickly.

He didn’t come alone though; head out of your room and to the kitchen to find another assassin. His tactics are different, he’ll be going for grabs instead of attack combos, but this time you have throwable items at your disposal.

If you throw three items at the assassin, you’ll complete the Kitchen Wars challenge. Once again, throw him into the kitchen counters and rain blows upon him until you defeat him, prompting a cutscene where a sniper fires on James.

Sharpshooter

Now you have to move from cover to cover without getting hit. If you successfully accomplish this, you’ll complete the challenge Missed Me! The Swap Cover function is your best friend right now. The sniper’s laser lets you know where his focus is, so you’ll want to swap cover when the laser isn’t directly between you and your next safe spot.

There are also a few places where there are several pieces of furniture lined up in a row, so you can safely move along these until you reach the next Swap Cover opportunity. Keep heading to the right until you reach the end of your balcony.

Vault forward from here, it doesn’t seem like the sniper will actually shoot Bond when doing so.

Vault over the first wall in this section as well, then swap cover to your right, moving only when the sniper isn’t aiming in your direction.

From here, rush to the air conditioning units ahead and to the right, then rush forward, jumping over the gap and hiding behind the shattered skylight.

Use your Q-Watch to hack some of the air conditioners in the distance, they’ll distract the shooter and give you time to jump to the next building. Don’t climb up the building yet, though.

Instead, climb to the right end of the rooftop, hiding behind the brick structure. When you have an opening, vault over the railing and take cover behind the planters.

Move to the left side of the roof, grabbing any batteries and hacking the electronics when you need a safe window.

Move up to the side of the sofa, then up to the pipe railing, climbing over it to a set of glass barricades.

Run to the right to have the sniper destroy the barricades, then move forward when it’s safe, hiding behind the brick chimney instead of the glass.

By this point, the ladder at the far end of the roof will be marked as your goal. Run to the right, under the cover of the glass, to get the sniper to destroy the glass barricade, then run back to the safety of the brick. Hack one of the lights on the roof ahead of you and run for the rooftop, jumping over the gap.

Rush to the ladder, there’s a pipe on the left that will keep you safe while climbing. Once on the roof, hack the large air conditioning unit to create a smokescreen, then run to hide behind it.

Once you move to the chimney beside the ladder, hack the lights above you, then jump onto the crane.

The sniper can destroy your cover so don’t stop climbing until you’re in control of the crane. Swing it to the left to force the sniper to abandon his spot.

After this, you’ll move to the crane’s arm, keep moving forward until you trigger a cutscene where you slide into the building.

When it ends, you’ll be chasing down the sniper, who turned out to be one of the twins from the hotel, to another rooftop. Jumping across will trigger another cutscene where James is thwarted by a swift boot to the face. Luckily, he catches himself before falling to his death. If you avoided getting shot during this whole ordeal, you’ll complete the challenge ‘Missed Me!’ at this point.

As James contacts Moneypenny about the twins, head down the alley, taking a left after the fence and continuing onward. When you reach the gate, interact to bring this segment to an end.

Gala Entrance

Thanks to Moneypenny, James is at a gala for Webb Industries, where the twins have been tracked.

As you approach the information desk, one of the people behind the desk kindly lets James know he’ll need an invitation for the event.

8 of Acorns
Type: Playing CardCheckpoint: 04 Gala Entrance
When you arrive at the Gala, you'll note it's jam-packed with people, and the employees at the reception desk are quite vigilant about unwelcome guests. Ignore her warnings when you come close to the desk, then head around reception to the back right corner. There, sitting on a stone bench, you'll find the 8 of Acorns.

The challenge Gate Crasher requires you to enter the gala without an invitation, so you’ll just need to Phone Dart the guards, or blind them if you’re running low on chemicals.

If you’re running low on both resources, the information desk and a few tables around the room have electronics and drinks with which to refill your resources. With the trio of guards temporarily incapacitated, head into the hall, completing Gate Crasher in the process.

Now that you’re in the main hall, use the blue waves on your watch to find the assassin.

In this instance, you’ll need to head up the stairs on the right side of the room. Head up the steps and down the hall, taking a left into the bathroom.

Check the trashcan built into the bathroom counter to find the phone. James notices a CCTV camera outside the bathroom entrance, which Moneypenny says she can check for signs of the assassin if James can get to the security room, which is upstairs.

Get Upstairs

There are at least four different ways to get upstairs, each with their own Challenge associated with them. This section will probably require you to reload or checkpoint restart, so use the links below to jump to the challenge you’re aiming for. If you don’t continue upstairs after completing one of these challenges, you may still be able to turn around and complete a different challenge.

Say ‘Cheese’!

On the opposite side of the bar from the hall with the bathroom, there’s a woman wearing all black who you can eavesdrop on. She’s waiting for a journalist named Rob Minkley, but she’ll settle for Mike Chacksfield if Rob doesn’t show up. Speak to her after she ends her conversation, and claim to be Rob Minkley.

She’ll tell you to grab your camera so she can lead you inside. To acquire a camera, head to the press room, which is located just to the left of the hall by which you entered the gala.

Inside, in the far right corner, you’ll find a fusebox. Interact with it, then head to the cordoned off area just left of the entrance.

The guard that normally watches this area is investigating the fusebox, so head inside and dart or blind the other guard in this area, grabbing the camera while they’re incapacitated.

Webb Industries (Webb Industries Press Pack)
Type: IntelCheckpoint: 05 Get Upstairs
Upon entering the gala, turn left to find the press room. Inside, you'll note a guard standing to your left, blocking the way. Distract him, then distract the guard by the table using the microphone. With them out of the way, walk up to the table in the center against the barrier to find the Webb Industries Intel.

Return to the PR Manager when you have the camera, then follow her upstairs. Once she’s done talking, you’ll trigger the completion of Say ‘Cheese’!.

While the PR manager indicates you should head up the right staircase, head left first. Through the door you’ll find a Museum Keycard, which will be useful in getting into some doors. Once you get the keycard you can return to the staircase and take the right path. You can jump to the Security Office section of the walkthrough.

Always on Duty

Up the steps to the left of the hall you used to enter the room, you’ll find a pair of security guards outside the press room. Eavesdrop on them to hear about a guard that is habitually late. When they finish speaking, walk up and speak to the lone guard, he’ll inform you of a tablet in the cafe with all the guards’ details, including contact information.

Head down the hall in front of this security guard and enter the cafe at the end.

Concert Poster
Type: Legacy ItemCheckpoint: 05 Get Upstairs
Once you gain access to the Gala, make your way through the crowd and head for the Cafe in the back left corner. Inside, there's a table set against the wall, to the back right, where you'll find the Concert Poster.

Approach the bar to eavesdrop on a woman trying to remember the password for the tablet. Her coworker will remind her that the login details are in a drawer. The drawer in question is located near the center of the bar. Head to the right end of the bar, then Phone Dart the closer cafe employee.

While he’s sick, walk past him and interact with the drawer to get the information. Now head back to the tablet. You’ll need to distract or blind the employee near the tablet, then interact with the tablet to learn the name of the late security guard.

If the cafe employees catch you after you’ve gotten the information you need, simply comply with their requests, there’s no need to waste instinct on a bluff.

Once you have the name, Harry Sykes, return to the lone security guard at the end of the hall. Now that you know Harry’s name, you can convince the lone guard that Harry has arrived and this guard is free to return to his usual post. This triggers the completion for Always on Duty.

Enter the cloakroom and take a right, sneaking behind the staff member in here and up the staircase in the next room.

Anniversary Pin
Type: MementoCheckpoint: 05 Get Upstairs
You can access the Cloakroom by walking around the barrier in the press room after distracting both guards, or by distracting the guard in the hall outside the press room. Either way, enter quietly to avoid the watcher, then check the cart against the back wall of lockers to find the Anniversary Pin.

This leads to a room full of guards, so you’ll need to jump to the Sneaking Through section of the walkthrough.

Behind the Scenes

This path is the simplest to complete. Head to the media room, just to the left of the entrance you used to enter the gala. In the far right corner of this room will be a fusebox.

Interact with it to get a guard in the opposite corner to come and investigate it.

Sneak into the cordoned area he was guarding, and head behind the set pieces to discover a narrow corridor. Squeeze between the boxes and open the door at the far end to complete the challenge Behind the Scenes!

From here, take a left and head up the stairs, then jump to the Sneaking Through section of the walkthrough to handle the room ahead.

VIP Entrance

If you take a left right after taking the steps up toward the bathroom, you'll find a pair of guards outside the History of Webb exhibit discussing one of their colleagues being very awkward towards a hostess at the opposite end of the hall.

Walk down to the other Webb exhibit to find a hostess and a security guard awkwardly making small talk. Eavesdrop on them to learn that she’s carrying a keycard for Webb PR’s manager. Before you can get the card from her, you need to get rid of the guard, who claims he can do his job guarding the exhibit hall from just outside the room.

Head into the room and stand behind the model of the drone. Use your Q-Watch to break the button cover, then activate the drone. Head out the door in front of the drone. By this point, the guard should be heading inside to investigate the commotion. While he’s gone, use your phone dart on the hostess, then pickpocket the Museum Keycard while she’s sick.

This card can be used in the cafe or the press room, at the double doors with a card reader on or near the door. As soon as the door opens, you’ll trigger the completion for the challenge, ‘VIP Entrance’.

If you used the door in the press room, take a left and head up the stairs at the end of the hallway. This leads you to a room full of enemies, and the Sneaking Through section of the walkthrough.

If you used the keycard on the door in the cafe, you can jump ahead to the Security Office section.

Sneaking Through

If you used the press room or the coat check to sneak to the second floor, you’ll have to sneak through a room full of guards to continue on your way. As soon as you enter the room, James will hide up against the display in front of you.

Ober of Roses
Type: Playing CardCheckpoint: 05 Get Upstairs
From the Cloakroom, take the stairs in the back hallway up and around to the second floor. There's a room you can slip into with a few guards inside, and right in the center, sitting on a box near the janitor's cart, is the Ober of Roses.

Crouch and move to the left, there’s a guard watching the left side of this room and he’ll spot you if you try to move. Aim for the vacuum cleaner (spotted with Q-Lens) on the right side of the room, and activate it, moving along the left side of the room when the guards are distracted.

Their collective attention should remain on the vacuum long enough that you can walk to the corner adjacent to the exit.

There is a guard that stands in front of the exit, but he alternates between that spot and another one nearby. When he looks away from the door, Dart the guard next to him, to ensure he doesn’t spot you leaving. Also be sure the guard that patrols the center of the room isn’t heading in your direction before attempting to leave.

Once you’re out, head to the right, grabbing the Museum Keycard if you didn’t already have one, then head through the Keycard door to the left of the exit you just used. Head down these steps and up the ones leading up to the security office.

Security Office

As you approach the security office, you’ll have a run in with a pair of guards who assure you they have things handled before locking you out of the security room.

Use your laser on the padlock to the right of the door, allowing you to sneak in through the vents. You’ll emerge in a supplies closet, where you can refill your Q-Watch energy. Outside, you’ll find a guard perusing dating apps, use swap cover to the left to move without being seen.

Next, you’ll find a pair of guards chatting, if you wait for their conversation to wrap up, they’ll both turn away from you.

Stephen Bright (Security Notice)
Type: IntelCheckpoint: 06 Security Office
Once you make it inside the Security Office, there's a door to the front right of the main room, past the two guards in the center and the camera watching overhead along the right wall. Inside, you'll find two technicians working, and they'll ignore you after a quick comment from Bond. Sitting on the conference table in the center, on the right-hand side, is the Security Notice.

Sneak up to the long curved desk, walking to the left side of it, and vault over the nearby desk, putting you between another guard on his phone and a security camera.

The door under the security camera is locked, and this time kicking it open is not recommended. Instead, head through the open doorway adjacent to the locked door. This new room has several guards, one of which is holding the keycard for the room you need to enter. From the desk pictured below, swap cover to the right, proceeding forward until you’re pressed against the cubicle to the left of the gap.

This time, when the patrolling guard ahead of you isn’t around, you’ll swap cover to the left, then vault over the desk at the end of this wall of cubicles.

Hide up against the desk next to the glass office in this area, then swap cover to the left when the main patrolling guard isn’t looking.

Continue moving to the left, along the edge of this office, until you’re right behind a man in a coat and a Watcher, identifiable by the solid white circle floating above his head.

The keycard you need is on the desk next to the man on the right, so dart him and sneak up, grab the keycard, and crouch walk back out through the same doorway.

When the patrol is in front of the office - opposite your position - head out the double doors to your left.

The guards in this room are all in the center, so you can sneak up to the bookshelves bordering the area with the pool table.

To your left is a standing speaker, which you can hack to cause a distraction. On the right side of the room, in the center of the wall, is the door into the CCTV office. Activate the speaker as a distraction then, while the guards are all staring at it, follow the bookcase all the way to the right, vaulting over the desk at the end and sneaking into the CCTV room.

If you made it into the room without knocking anyone out or getting caught, you’ll have completed two challenges: A Quiet Night and Top Notch Security!

Head over to the main desk and interact with the computer to discover you’re missing a password.

Check the desk in the far right corner and inspect the ‘Desk Mess’, then inspect the mug on this desk, flipping it while inspecting to find the password written on the underside. Return to the computer to give Moneypenny access to the CCTV. She discovers that one of the twins was last seen heading into the basement.

Kensington Postcard
Type: PostcardCheckpoint: 06 Security Office
Once you make it inside the CCTV room at the center of the Security Office, turn left toward the desk in the back left corner. The Kensington Postcard is sitting on a table between two lockboxes.

Basement

Exit through the doors behind the monitors. You’ll be back in the room with the long desk, though thankfully the guards are now intently watching the other direction.

To your left, you’ll find an open elevator, but be careful to avoid the security camera. Move along the wall to your left, vaulting over the small bookshelf. Hack the camera, then quickly sneak into the elevator to take a trip directly to the basement.

Exit the room with the elevator and read the note on the door at the far end of this hall. James will learn about some faulty locks.

On the opposite wall, you can interact with a large sliding panel covered in paintings; you’ll learn it’s remotely controlled.

Return to the center of this hall, to a padlocked chain, and use your laser to open the way forward, then squeeze through the gap. Enter this room, collecting the refills on battery that you walk past, and kick the double doors open at the far end.

On the right, you’ll find a control panel, turn it on to open the sliding panel you saw earlier. Exit through the nearby door and head through the now open path.

Entering the room with the statue triggers a cutscene where James is nearly shot. After hiding, you’re in control in a fight against one of the twins.

Since you don’t have a gun, you’ll have to use your gadgets to manipulate the environment to hurt him. For instance, you can overload lights to cause them to explode, or cut a cable and drop a chandelier on the assassin.

When you successfully attack, don’t follow up with melee strikes, because he’ll automatically counter them and you’ll put yourself in danger. Since you can activate these traps from cover, you don’t need to put yourself in the line of fire, just hide and throw all the exploding lights and other dangers your batteries will allow.

Furthermore, each time you hit him with a hazard, he’ll become wary of repeat attacks, so he’ll automatically destroy any hazards of the same kind when he’s near them.

You can use Fume Extractors, Hanging Lights, Construction Lights, and Electrified Lifts, but you only need to hit him three times. Once you’ve hit him three times, a cutscene will play out where you finish the assassin off, and discover that Greenway is in danger.

To exit the area, head forward from Murto’s body, on the left will be a keycard reader on double doors.

On the right is an open doorway, enter this room and head left. Open the white box on the desk to retrieve a Restoration Room Keycard, then use it on the double doors.

Tero Murto Locket
Type: MementoCheckpoint: 07 Basement
Following the boss fight against Murto, leave the area through the open door and enter the room to your right. Inside Room 4 Restoration, on the back desk, you'll find the 'Restoration Room Keycard,' which unlocks Room 3 Restoration across the hall. Inside, sitting on the desk in the center of the room, you'll find the Tero Murto Locket.

Head right, through the open double doors and up the stairs.

Follow this hallway to the elevator at the end. Exit the elevator and kick the door open to find yourself back in the main gala hall. Exit this room through the opposite entrance and head into the main hall to trigger a cutscene where you’re reunited with your friend from the hotel.

James was looking for Nicholas Webb, but he’s on the main stage giving a speech. Moneypenny interrupts, letting James know that he needs to get closer to Webb and hack his phone. Unfortunately, James collapses before you can succeed.

Storage Room

James is revived, but not before being tied up in a chair as he witnesses some interesting revelations. Ultimately, James hacks Damien’s phone while getting beaten. You can provoke him or stall for time, and you’ll need to balance the two, since excessive provoking will get James killed, while stalling too much means Damien gets bored and lets his men finish you off immediately.

In our playthrough, we chose Provoke, Stall, Provoke, Stall, and finally Provoke. This will complete the hack and start another cutscene where Damien heads out and Isola frees you.

King of Shields
Type: Playing CardCheckpoint: 09 Storage Room
Following the cutscene in which you escape from the chair, turn around to find the King of Shields collectible sitting on a table in the back of the room.

Check the doors at her request, then help her climb up and out an elevated window. Before she can pull you up to freedom, another pair of guards comes to check on you. Wait for them to finish talking and head further into the room before leaving the way they came in. Shut the door behind you and continue forward until you find a padlocked vent.

Use your laser to cut it open and crawl inside.

If you don’t have at least half a full battery, grab the drill in the corner to charge it. Continue through the vents until you exit into a much larger room.

You’re up above the guards, so you’re safe to move around for now. Follow the walkway forward, taking the second left, then take a right and head down to the end of the walkway.

When the guard patrolling below you heads away, you can jump down and crouch. Head close to the center of the room, hiding behind a desk until the guard watching the middle turns away. Sidle around the desk until the two guards at the end of the room look away, then sneak behind the one on the left into a room full of server racks.

Shut the door behind you, then grab the keycard and battery off the table right in front of the door. When you’re ready to proceed, dart the guard in this room, then climb the racks with the blue tarp hanging over them. In the corner of this elevated area is a vent cover, exit through this vent.

This will lead to another elevated walkway and eventually to the exit.

Vault over the pipe to jump down and exit via the vent cover to the immediate right. For exiting via the vent, you’ll complete the challenge Rack N’ Roll, and if you didn’t take down any of the guards, you’ll also complete the challenge Workplace Agreement.

8 of Roses
Type: Playing CardCheckpoint: 09 Storage Room
After the License to Kill section, you'll exit to a balcony overlooking the main gala floor below. There's a light rig you can hop across to reach the opposite balcony. Once there, turn right instead of going through the door. Sitting on a table at the end is the 8 of Roses.

This balcony you’re on is overlooking the gala hall.

Head to the blue tarp and vault over it to find yourself on the lighting rigs above the hall. Jump across the gap to the second rig, then walk around it until you can climb to the nearest balcony, then head into the door.

The Courtyard

You’ll find yourself on the rooftop of the museum. You’re trespassing, but for now there’s nobody around to catch you.

Head forward to the locked gate and kick it open. Head right and vault over the railing, then follow your objective marker to an open skylight, jumping down into it.

You’ll find yourself in a courtyard full of enemies. For the associated challenges, you need to avoid killing anyone, and avoid being compromised. This means you can be spotted, but only if you bluff your way out of the situation. And if you can bluff three guards, you’ll complete the challenge The Big Bluff.

To complete The Big Bluff (you can always restart from the checkpoint if things go wrong past this point, and the challenge will remain completed) crouch and follow the first guard you spot when dropping into the courtyard. When he takes a left into a room where two guards are conversing, bluff one of them.

If you did it at the right time, all three guards will be bluffed simultaneously, completing the challenge. It’s worth noting that the cost to bluff the guard changes depending on the situation; it costs three instinct to bluff preemptively, but the cost increases to four if you’re caught and you bluff as a response.

Once you’ve gotten your challenge and restarted from the checkpoint, head left once the first guard moves on.

Head through the door and activate the radio, then slip into the gap to the right. One of the guards will move to investigate the radio, so dart the other guard, then observe the note on the wall. It says that a nearby generator can be disabled to remove the need for keycards, which is great if you’re trying to avoid the guards. Head through the door next to the blinded guard, and laser the padlock off the vent and head inside.

Exit while the two guards are talking, but bluff them as soon as you can so neither of them will try to raise the alarm. Head past the guard on the left and turn right in the next room.

There’s a gap in the furniture in this room, but there are a few guards on the other side. Squeeze through, and once again bluff the guards as soon as you’re through, then interact with the generator to disable the keycard scanner in the exit below. Head out the balcony across from the generator and head right, dropping to the floor below via the scaffolding.

Turn right at the bottom to take cover from two guards watching the exit.

If you collected the resources along the way, you can dart one and laser another, then rush past them to the exit.

Closed For Maintenance Challenge

  • Museum Garden Dining Room Staff Closet Code: 3256

On the ground floor of the Museum Courtyard, enter the Library and look for a small office at the back of the room.

Here, you'll find a laptop on top of a desk. When inspecting the Laptop, you'll learn that the access code to the staff closet that's found in the Dining Room is 3256.

Upon entering the Dining Room, which is found in the opposite corner of the courtyard, be sure to disable the camera that is watching the closet door. If you fail to disable or destroy the camera, approaching the door will alarm the guards and call in reinforcements.

With the camera out of action, insert the code (3256) and head inside.

Here, you will find the 9 of Shields Card Collectible on top of a small trolley of packages.

If you made it through without being compromised or killing anyone, you’ll have completed two more challenges, and if you followed this guide from the start, you’ll also have completed the Ghost and Pacifist challenges for this chapter!

Webb Exhibition

As you enter this hall, you’ll come across a statue being repaired. Scattered at the base of the statue is a cache of weapons, as well as resources for your gadgets.

Resupply and head into the hall full of statues. The large room at the end of the hall will fill with enemies once you enter, quickly turning this into a chaotic firefight.

Before the bullets start flying, however, you can launch a surprise attack, taking down a few enemies before they know where you are. We recommend hacking the 3D printers scattered throughout, since they will kick up a cloud of dust, making it hard for the enemies to spot you. You can even take down the newly introduced, heavily armored Tank hostiles in an instant if you sneak up to them while they’re in the cloud.

As always, don’t stay in one spot for too long, since that invites the enemy to start throwing grenades. If you shoot 15 screens in this room, you’ll complete the challenge IT Specialists, which you might as well complete while you’re here. You can shoot the screens after the fight, so focus on the enemies first.

Loading Dock

Once you’ve killed all the hostiles, head through the door in the back of the room. This loading area is full of boxes and shelves so you’ll need to snake your way through them to reach the blue double doors at the exit.

Unfortunately, a small army is waiting for you outside, so you’ll need to stick to cover to get out alive.

Much like the start of the chapter with the sniper, you’ll need to repeatedly use swap cover to get to safety, though this sequence isn’t nearly as long.

When you reach a couple of crates on a pallet jack, you can simply move to the right to push the cart with you. When you reach the garbage truck, get inside and drive on.

The truck is massive, so don’t let anything stop you. When driving the garbage truck, keep to the right and simply plow through everything until you reach the ramp, then follow it up and through. This will complete the Bin Collection challenge.

After your drive, you’ll reunite with Greenway, bringing this chapter to an end, but not before you get to pick your gadget loadout for the next mission, Knightfall.

We recommend sticking with the laser and the darts, since they’re uniquely suited to specific situations.
