Fiji faces operational and implementation challenges like other Pacific island countries, with limited capacity and frequent staff turnover in key positions affecting both the public and private sectors. Accordingly, ADB initiatives in Fiji seek to deliver appropriate levels of technical assistance to ensure effective implementation and sustainable results.
To date, ADB has committed 117 public sector loans, grants, and technical assistance totaling 991ドル million to Fiji.
Forecasts are based on ADB's flagship publication, the Asian Development Outlook. Updated four times a year, it analyzes economic and development issues in developing countries in Asia and the Pacific.
Development indicators for Fiji, including a selection of economic, environmental, and social indicators used globally to track progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
Results achieved are aggregate amounts of outputs and outcomes from operations reported in project completion reports and extended annual review reports circulated for the year.
Cofinancing operations enable ADB’s financing partners, governments or their agencies, multilateral financing institutions, and commercial organizations to participate in financing ADB projects.
This pilot and demonstration activity will introduce the methodology in five countries representing the five regions of ADB’s operations and promote a standardized approach to measuring nonrevenue water, increasing capacity and adoption into respective operations.
