Regional : Enabling Effective and Sustainable Capacity Development Pathways for the Pacific
Sovereign Project | 58147-001
The TA cluster will support DMCs across the Pacific in a strategic manner. It will start with aligning capacity development approaches towards training priorities of selected DMCs, and initiate a systematic way of addressing skill shortages and capacity gaps by creating a demand-driven sustainable capacity development environment. ADB's assistance will target critical training priorities of the governments to (i) improve their internal capacity development structures and processes; (ii) provide certified training programs, and supplementation where necessary, to address country-specific systemic capacity development needs; and (iii) undertake periodic portfolio reviews to address country-level systemic issues. It will also create an arrangement to harmonize support from the development partners towards capacity development efforts and catalyze further financial assistance.
