Hi all, a couple of weeks ago I signed up for the Stripe payments NZ beta release. Last week I got my invitation email and gave it a hoon.

I tried with:
- Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.40
- Commerce Stripe 7.x-3.0-alpha1 (with stripe-php libraries v3.23.0)

Using the Secret Key and Publishable Key from my stripe.com account I have successfully made a test purchase via my website.

VPS in NZ

Posted by timtunbridge on February 12, 2012 at 10:25pm

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Xen based VPS host in NZ?

I've had shared hosting with Openhost for a number of years but want to look at VPS now. Openhost use Virtuozzo for their VPS offering which I understand is problematic for Drupal (http://omega8.cc/the-biggest-misunderstanding-ever-122).

If anyone is using Virtuozzo I'd be interested to hear about your experiences.

Alternatively are people using VPS from overseas?

Free Web Hosts that support All Drupal functionality

Posted by gandalf12 on May 21, 2011 at 2:59am

Hi ya,

A few years ago I signed up for a free web hosting account at xtreemhost.com

First it was brilliant, but recently xtreemhost.com have started slashing the functionality they support until today I can't even upload a fresh install of v6.20 - and I shudder to try to install 7.0

They do not support php or stmp email, and I can't even get clean URL's!

Does anyone know of a free web hosting company that supports All Drupal functionality including 7.0

Oh why free? 'cause I am a really, really poor Drupal Guru wannabe :)

Thanks
Grant

Libraryhack 2011 - Ideas Competition

Posted by richardhayward on March 3, 2011 at 11:25pm

Have you got a great suggestion for a new and innovative way to use library data but maybe not the technical skills to bring that idea to life? Submit an idea for an application or data mashup to be eligible for this prize. Your idea might then be developed by someone else as an application or mashup as part of Libraryhack. For inspiration have a look at the list of data sets to be made available by the participating libraries and from February 8, submit an idea. You can enter as many times as you like.

Wellington Drupal User Group a Success

Posted by kiwifellows on November 10, 2009 at 6:27pm

The Wellington meetup in October was a success with a range of people with Drupal interest attending. We had 18 in total and the mix was about 10 developers, 5 account manager/or project manager and a few content / Drupal Users.

Some of the sites being developed in Drupal were of very high standard and this showed with the presentations. In addition to this each project presented some of the difficulties faced such as migration, integrating with other systems and modules to use in implementation.
