meetup

I'm not sure if there's anybody still here, but I wanted to check if there'd be any interest of folks in the Windsor-Essex region to organize a meetup or something like that.

The idea is to simply know other people involved with Drupal in the region, get together, have a coffee/beer/whatever, and chat. Nothing formal, no agenda, no presentations, something very spontaneous.

At the upcoming Omaha Drupal Meetup, @phenaproxima will be joining us to talk about the Acquia Lightning Drupal 8 distribution.

So that any would-be interested party has some input, I wanted to see if anyone had any questions they would like to have addressed.

We just created a Drupal Akwa Ibom group and are yet to schedule our first meet up. We are new and have few members on the group. If there is any Drupal user on this group resident in Akwa Ibom, please join the Drupal Akwaibom group so we can meet, engage new users/learners as well as contribute to Drupal open source projects.

Please we would need advice from organizers here on how to go about our first meet up and how to get the community involve in the meet up.

Yueyue Q. asked for someone to take over organizer of the weekly Seattle Drupal Meetup account. It costs 20ドル per month. She plans to let it lapse if no one steps forward by next Friday.

What do people want to talk about at this group if there is a meetup?

Hey all,

I'm thinking of starting a Drupal meetup in Greenville, SC. It would either be the Saturday before Greenville Grok (April 25th) or the day after Grok (May 2nd). I'd do it earlier but the 25th is literally the first Saturday I have free.

Is there any interest? I mean, I can hang out all by my lonesome somewhere and talk Drupal with myself, but I think it'd be more fun with more people.
