Mirrors selected hybrid shapes about a plane using a CATIA Symmetry operation, while preserving the original names of all selected shapes. The result is a live parametric feature — the source shape is kept as an input and the mirror plane can be edited after creation.

1. Open a CATPart document with hybrid shapes and a plane or axis system
2. Run the script
3. Selection 1: Select the hybrid shapes to mirror — click OK when done
4. Selection 2: Select a plane, axis system, or face of an axis system to define the mirror plane
5. Mirrored shapes are created in the current in-work geometric set with the same names as the source shapes

• Mirrored shapes are added to the current in-work geometric set
• If the in-work object is not a geometric set, a new geometric set named Mirror_Keep_History is created
• All results are live parametric features — they retain a link to the source geometry and can be edited

• The mirror plane can be any plane, axis system, or face of an axis system
• The script supports Points (type 1), Curves (type 2), Lines (type 3), Circles (type 4), and Surfaces (type 5)
• Source shapes are not deleted or modified
• Use this script when you need to keep the parametric history; use Mirror Keep Name when you want isolated datums instead
