Trade Standard Compliance Report in Asia: Preliminary Data Analysis and Case Studies on Supply Chain Perspective

概要

The objective of this research project is to deepen our understanding on the impact of regulations/standards on international trade with specific focus on agriculture and food industry through construction of rejection data that can be used for empirical research (that needs to be updated every year) and the accumulation of case studies from the supply chain perspective. The research project aims to achieve the following three objectives: 1) construction of border rejection data for empirical analysis based on published data from regulatory authorities in EU, US, and Japan and updating of this data every year; 2) empirical studies to analyze the impact of regulations/standards on international trade based on the data above; and 3) accumulation of case studies on agriculture and food supply chains in developing countries.
