Marker Labels

  • This example demonstrates how to add markers with alphabetical labels to a Google Map.

  • Users can click on the map to create new markers, each labeled with a unique letter.

  • The sample code is provided in both JavaScript and TypeScript, along with HTML and CSS for styling.

  • The legacy google.maps.Marker is deprecated, and migration to google.maps.marker.AdvancedMarkerElement is encouraged for future compatibility.

This example creates a map where each click by the user creates a marker that's labeled with a single alphabetic character.
