Localizing the Map

  • This example demonstrates how to display a Google Map localized in Japanese, overriding user browser settings.

  • The map's region is set to Japan, influencing geocoding results to prioritize that area.

  • The sample utilizes HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (compiled from TypeScript) to achieve localization.

  • Users can interact with the sample through JSFiddle or Google Cloud Shell, or clone it locally using Git and Node.js.

This example creates a map that's localized in Japanese, regardless of the user's browser settings. The region is also set to Japan, which biases the geocoding results to that region.
