Special Containment Procedures: The building in which SCP-CN-647 is located has been bought out by Site-CN-02, and is closed to all entry under the cover story "problematic item being investigated". While the rest of the building is thought to be non-anomalous, all occupants of the building have been provided compensation and instructed to leave in the interests of safety.
Three agents from Mobile Task Force 辛辰-8 "Felines", who are aware of SCP-CN-647's properties (Agent Snakecheek Cat, Agent Rattletail Cat, and Agent Rainfruit Cat) are to be stationed outside SCP-CN-647's room in order to monitor the object, maintain security and respond to any possible emergencies.
Entry into the room for testing requirements or special circumstances requires the approval of at least two members of Level 3 personnel. Unauthorized personnel will be removed from the area and will be investigated, monitored, and if necessary executed; their corpses will be altered according to Protocol CN-647.
Update: After the incident with Agent Comet Fish, SCP-CN-647 appears to have been perfectly contained. In order to supply manpower requirements elsewhere, monitoring has been reduced; however, the protocols for management of unauthorized entry remain. If SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties once again manifest, it is necessary to determine the target SCP-CN-647-T starting from SCP-CN-647-T-0291 through SCP-CN-647-T-0300, and follow the process described by Agent Comet Fish to process its corpse.
Description: SCP-CN-647 is the designation for the duplex unidirectional corridor within Room 2708 on Floor 27 of the ██████ █████ Building, located in Hongkou District, Shanghai, as well as the bedroom at the end of the corridor. While the bedroom has been locked and cannot be accessed, the interior of the room is visible through the keyhole on the door, revealing a humanoid entity sitting on a chair in the center of the room; at night, a faint blue glow is visible, thought to be from an electronic device in front of the entity. The rest of the room cannot be discerned.
When one or more human subjects enters the corridor region of SCP-CN-647, they will hear a voice calling for help from the bedroom. Reports indicate that the voice is different each time; however, it is always described as "the most desperate, miserable cry for help one has ever heard". If the subject leaves the anomalous region at this point, SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties will not trigger; however, if they attempt to respond to the call for help (such as by calling out in response or attempting to open the bedroom door), SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties will activate, marking the subject as the target. When there are multiple subjects marked as targets, SCP-CN-647 will choose one of the subjects to attack; this target will be designated SCP-CN-647-T.
The first stage after the activation of SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties:
SCP-CN-647-T's personal information and life history will be spread throughout various major online platforms and privately sent to all of SCP-CN-647-T's social circle, using insulting, heavily subjective language. Each message will end with a link to a website generated by SCP-CN-647. These messages are typically deleted within one day for violating the rules of the site they are posted on, but the website link cannot be removed by any means.
Of note is that if SCP-CN-647-T is a member of a secret organization, SCP-CN-647 will avoid revealing any secret information while exposing SCP-CN-647-T's personal information so as to avoid detection by larger powers.
The website posted by SCP-CN-647 will be constantly updated with SCP-CN-647-T's current status and highly accurate descriptions of their thoughts, including but not limited to photographs, textual records and videos; all photographs and videos have been confirmed to be fully accurate, even though some of them are taken from unusual angles.
With the exception of SCP-CN-647 (which displays as the "Admin") and SCP-CN-647-T (who will typically be blocked and ridiculed if they attempt to post, and marked with their real name if allowed), all posts are anonymous. If a user attempts to post positively about SCP-CN-647-T, their post will fail to send and they will be blocked from accessing the site. This leads to the site being entirely composed of negative content.
This stage typically lasts between three days and one week, during which SCP-CN-647-T will experience insomnia, paranoia, panic and depression, and will refuse to access the website.
The second stage after the activation of SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties:
After SCP-CN-647-T refuses to access the website for two days, SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties will slowly begin to directly affect SCP-CN-647-T's daily activities. In currently recorded experiments, the following anomalous phenomena have been recorded:
Insults targeted at SCP-CN-647-T will randomly appear on paper materials (such as toilet paper and tissues), documents (printed documents), and books (replacing parts of the original text) that SCP-CN-647-T encounters.
All Internet-capable electronic devices in SCP-CN-647-T's possession will have their browser homepage changed to SCP-CN-647's website; in addition, windows will suddenly appear containing insults, and websites will randomly redirect to SCP-CN-647's website while browsing. Attempting to use other devices to circumvent this will fail.
When SCP-CN-647-T attempts to use communication devices to converse with others, there is a large chance that a new voice will manifest and begin insulting and mocking SCP-CN-647-T. Even while communicating in person, SCP-CN-647-T and their conversational partner will still hear various voices from the surroundings, even if they are alone.
When SCP-CN-647-T attempts to sleep, they will quickly encounter nightmares and wake up; reports indicate that the contents of the nightmare are always identical — a swarm of figures of black smoke with red faces standing around SCP-CN-647-T, insulting and mocking them, and even escalating to physical, sexual, and [DATA EXPUNGED] assault.
At this stage, SCP-CN-647-T should be quarantined as soon as possible, in order to prevent large-scale information leakage caused by SCP-CN-647's third stage. In addition, SCP-CN-647-T will show signs of severe depression, mental degeneration, and self-harm and suicidal tendencies.
The third stage after the activation of SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties:
Following two weeks to three months of the second stage, SCP-CN-647 will enter the third stage. At this point, SCP-CN-647 will post a message declaring a "holy crusade" in the name of "purity" agains SCP-CN-647-T, and detailing the "corrective punishment" to be enacted.
In this stage, SCP-CN-647 will list out various punishments and allow users to vote; after an hour of voting, SCP-CN-647 will perform one or all of the punishments listed. At this point, SCP-CN-647 has been confirmed to show reality-bending abilities, which are used to alter SCP-CN-647-T's appearance or situation.
The following alterations have been recorded by the Foundation:
Loss of reproductive organs, typically of male SCP-CN-647-T. Reason: "He's such a little [EXPLETIVE REDACTED], he might as well be a girl."
Mouth being slowly replaced with a reproductive organ, typically of female SCP-CN-647-T. Reason: "That [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] spouts all sorts of nonsense, might as well turn her mouth into a [EXPLETIVE REDACTED]"
Subject's friends suffering accidents, such as injury, sexual assault, disfiguration, and even death. Reason: "Anyone who helps this worthless [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] is complicit in its degeneracy."
Physical state being altered by reality-bending abilities (such as clothing, gender, and past experiences). Reason: "You say you're innocent, you say it's not true. Hm? What does the reality say now?"
Following this, SCP-CN-647-T will typically commit suicide. Contained SCP-CN-647-T have been seen to decay at approximately three times the usual speed upon death. In order to maintain cleanliness, the containment team is to immediately clear the corpse. As soon as SCP-CN-647-T is confirmed to be dead, all of SCP-CN-647's anomalous effects will demanifest; the website will remain, but no new information will be posted.
Update 2018年12月12日: Final stage of SCP-CN-647's anomalous properties
After analyzing the research notes left behind by Foundation agent Comet Fish, an approximation of the final stage of SCP-CN-647's effects has been produced. While at present we are still missing significant confirmation, after the incident with Agent Comet Fish, SCP-CN-647 has yet to activate again. As such, the conclusion is very likely to be correct, and has been included in the object's file for reference.
Based on Agent Comet Fish's research logs, the SCP-CN-647 object within the bedroom is the previous SCP-CN-647-T target, attempting to call for help and make insulting posts on the internet as a ritual so as to escape the bedroom. When another SCP-CN-647-T commits suicide, they will replace the previous SCP-CN-647 in the bedroom, becoming the new SCP-CN-647.
After Agent Comet Fish viewed the list of previous SCP-CN-647-T instances and volunteered to be a test subject to check the keyhole, they confirmed their theory and began to think of a countermeasure. At this point, Agent Comet Fish was already in the third stage of SCP-CN-647's effects, and the "punishment" given by the anomaly caused her to be unable to effectively commit suicide. However, after four hours and thirty minutes of attempts, Agent Comet Fish successfully took her own life.
In accordance with the final message left by Agent Comet Fish, following her death, the following actions have been taken on their corpse:
Removal of the necessary parts of the brain, so that they cannot be controlled after becoming SCP-CN-647.
Removal of the vocal cords, so that they cannot be used to call for help after becoming SCP-CN-647.
Removal of the hands, so that they cannot be used to type after becoming SCP-CN-647.
Removal of the eyes, so that identification of a target SCP-CN-647-T cannot be performed.
The installation of one remote-detonatable reality-stabilized C4 explosive. If the above means are not sufficient to suppress SCP-CN-647, the explosives are to be remotely detonated.
Agent Comet Fish's proposal is thought to be effective; following the requested actions, SCP-CN-647-T-0291 through -0300 have not experienced any anomalous effects.
On June 21, 2018, Agent Comet Fish and 10 other "Fish" agents from her Mobile Task Force, 辛辰-0 ("Marine Organisms") were carrying out containment operations on a newly discovered anomaly, now designated SCP-CN-647. As the information available at the time was limited, Agent Comet Fish and the other ten agents were targeted by the anomaly. As the object can only have one target at a time, shortly after the conclusion of the assigned operations, Agent Comet Fish was confirmed to have become SCP-CN-647-T-290.
In the following six months, Agent Comet Fish suffered the most terrible abuse. Even so, she remained dedicated to her position, finding a way to contain and bring an end to SCP-CN-647's actions. She succeeded in the end, but in doing so we have lost an excellent member of our ranks.
Agent Comet Fish was one of the most capable and dedicated of our agents. She was given the Foundation Star, and as her body could not be retrieved, her locket (a rectangular piece of amber jade, azure mixed with white) was returned to Area-CN-42's burial grounds.
I hope you are resting well on the other side of that door.
As Area-CN-42's resident psychologist, I feel some things must be said.
First of all, I hope everyone can remember and show respect for Agent Comet Fish under her real name. If you feel forgetting is your personal form of respect, you may use Class D amnestics to help.
Second, yes, you have seen videos of her with another man. Yes, she is not a virgin maiden. Yes, she has had relationships with various men. But this is her after being affected by the anomaly's reality-bending effect. Before the 29th of August, she had abstained from sex and loved only one man, her current boyfriend. Their wedding was supposed to be today.
Third, yes, the Foundation knows the IP addresses and identities of everyone who logged onto the website and left insulting remarks about her. No, neither the O5 Council nor the Chinese Branch's "Twelve Zodiacs" will punish you. Not because the Ethics Committee doesn't know how many of these messages were posted under the effects of the anomaly, but because Agent Comet Fish herself left behind a message saying she didn't want anyone to be punished. And yes, the number of Foundation personnel who logged in was in the thousands.
Fourth, it's not entirely true. In the end, Comet Fish's mental state had almost completely collapsed, but she chose to end her life not seeking escape, but in order to put an end to SCP-CN-647's actions. She wished that no one would have to suffer as she did. Yes, in the end, her body has already been distorted by the reality-bending. Her death took over four hours. It was certainly painful. And yes, she was a pious Christian.
Finally, I would like to say something as Andrews, Comet Fish's friend. Regardless of how you feel — downcast or joyful, guilty or guiltless, don't think too much about it. She wouldn't want you to argue about what she did. It's already too late to save her.
Comet Fish has already left us.
