SCP-CN-3513 ❰❰❰❰ 4/CN-3513
⬛︎ Object Class: Thaumiel Assigned Site: Site-418-α

Special Containment Procedures

SCP-CN-3513's IP address has been inserted into Mojang's global server blacklist, making it inaccessible using a standard Minecraft client. Foundation webcrawler IO-WARDEN-47 is assigned to search for and delete relevant information on the anomaly outside the Veil.

Site-418-α, located within the gameworld of SCP-CN-3513, is responsible for the OPERATOR Protocol. Members from Mobile Task Forces Edna-84 ("And Thus Upon His Crucible") and 丙寅-12 ("Player One") are to guard the Site.

Personnel logging into SCP-CN-3513 are to use a client equipped with a memetic hazard blocking system, and are to have undergone Level IV memetic resistance training prior to connecting.

Description

SCP-CN-3513 is a Minecraft server; its IP address is located in a reserved range. This IP address functions normally except when connected to on port 25565.

SCP-CN-3513 is an "anarchy" server. Since the Foundation established a presence on the server, no trace of any server administrators or moderators exist. As SCP-CN-3513 has had an active playerbase consisting of members of the anomalous community, including Groups of Interest, the areas around the spawn have been heavily defaced, and many areas contain "map art" depicting memetic hazards

Due to the long-term frequent use of anomalous techniques on the server, the ontological structure of the anomaly's virtual space (i.e. the game world) has diverged from the model defined by the Minecraft server and client software. The Deduction Department's analysis indicates that this virtual space has already generated a narrative independent from other Minecraft worlds. Based on the Gaming Department's theory of interactive media narrativistics, SCP-CN-3513 is essentially its own region of reality, accessible only through the Minecraft client.

SCP-CN-3513 has a low ambient Hume level, which allows players to use specialized means to:

  • Obtain items and blocks not present in the original game;
  • Perform actions not possible in the original game, such as teleportation to any location, performing kinetoglyphs, etc.;
  • Transfer items and characters from other games into SCP-CN-3513.

The initial exploration team has used "Mudscipper", a thaumically protected client developed by the Division of Anomalous Programming, to explore a 35,000 m ×ばつ 35,000 m region around the spawn point. Most areas are filled with player-made structures, of which the majority have been destroyed. The exploration team described the environment as "more hostile than 2b2t".

In order to more effectively control SCP-CN-3513, the Minecraft Division has carried out long-term information suppression, which has led to the average player count of SCP-CN-3513 being reduced to 6.

Addendum CN-3513.I:Project OPERATOR

Gaming Department Internal DocumentLast updated: 2018年07月21日
Project OPERATOR

Leader: Dr. Henry Friedman

Status: ⬛︎ Complete

Overview: SCP-CN-3513's special ontological laws and low ambient Hume level makes it an excellent transfer station between baseline reality and virtual space. Anomalous Minecraft communities have already developed a fully functional inter-server transfer ritual. Anomalies that are hard to contain in the real world can be transferred to SCP-CN-3513, and then reliably transferred to other virtual spaces for containment. The only missing piece is the segment between the real world and SCP-CN-3513. As such, this project's primary objective is to develop a method of transferring objects in the real world to a fixed location in SCP-CN-3513.

In addition to the above requirement, the OPERATOR Project also requires a virtual facility as the target destination of the transfer ritual. This Site needs at the least a strong security system and a single sufficiently large containment chamber. The Site will be designated Site-418.

UPDATE 2018年07月21日: Project OPERATOR has concluded successfully. Personnel who wish to use the OPERATOR Protocol in containment reforms may submit a request to Dr. Friedman. SCP-CN-3513 has been reclassified Thaumiel.

Dr. Nafu Suda, a programmer under the Gaming Department, was tasked with developing the technology necessary for Project OPERATOR.

I'm a programmer; this kind of narrative stuff is completely new to me. But I've noticed one of CN-3513's properties: you can perform kinetoglyphs using a modified client. If I can just find a kinetoglyph that teleports whatever you're thinking of to your location, then I just need to have the player character perform it and we're done!

2018年04月21日

Even though I always thought that I should have stuck with the Japanese branch, being in the Main Foundation does have its benefits. I contacted the Department of Kinetography today, and they just happened to have what I needed! I'm far from an expert on 3D animation, but luckily I have an AI that can help me understand the motions involved, and there are already mods that add detailed animations! This should be pretty easy!

2018年04月25日

The kinetoglyph has been recreated to near-perfect accuracy. I even gave Steve fingers and toes, why doesn't it work?!

2018年04月29日

I contacted Pataphysics for help, and it looks like the problem is that the player character and the player in the real world have different thoughts. To be more precise, Steve has no thoughts at all. Even when he's hungry, he doesn't think of food. I need to find other options.

But it's Golden Week, so I'm gonna play some GregTech with my old friends first.

2018年05月02日

Today, while eating with Henry, I came up with a solution. This might be kind of dangerous, but if this succeeds we'll be able to transfer any object into the server! The only problem is that this has to be done from within CN-3513, from a computer near the object that you want to transfer.

There's a Letters studio that has already come up with something that can link reality and game world, but directly using the game would be too dangerous. I need to do some reverse engineering and put the relevant code into another game.

2018年05月19日
That game was written in C++, so I can't directly port the code into Unity, but I downloaded a simpler game engine and made a pretty boring game. Honestly, this isn't even a game — there's just one room, and the player can walk around inside it and pick up a watch. Once you have the watch, you can press "1" to open up a bidirectional portal next to your computer.

2018年05月21日

Aimee apparently found a suitable place, so I logged on and tried out my idea. It looks like it's not possible — my game doesn't have enough narrative content, so it's just a bunch of code that doesn't count as its own universe, and I can't bring the watch into CN-3513. But that's pretty easy to fix…

2018年05月25日

I did it! I just needed to take that code and put it into a finished game — I chose Factorio — and I could immediately bring the portal generator into CN-3513! There's only one problem - opening the portal in Minecraft seems to cause large Hume level changes, but I just need to bring in some SRAs and we'll be good! I just hope it doesn't fall into anyone else's hands.

The Gaming Department entrusted the task of finding a suitable location for Site-418 to MTF-Edna-84 ("And Thus Upon His Crucible") member Agent Aimee Adams. She was also provided with a client with a teleportation hack, which allowed her to teleport herself to arbitrary coordinates.

Coordinates: (146293, -145394)
Description: All blocks in the surrounding area were replaced with crafting tables. Left clicking on the crafting tables in order to break them instead opened the crafting window; holding Shift and right clicking on them likewise opened the crafting window.

Coordinates: (56351, 212592)
Description: Location was in the center of a 3m ×ばつ 3m bedrock box. Following this, Agent Adams attempted to teleport to another nearby location, but each attempt caused the player to appear in an identical bedrock box.

Coordinates: (156719, 45551)
Description: All blocks in the area were replaced with spawners, which constantly generated creepers. The generated creepers' explosions did not break the spawners.

Coordinates: (-42042, 42042)
Description: A region used for map art of the Gamers Against Weed logo.

Coordinates: (104525, -31638)
Description: An island identical to that found in the popular "Skyblock" map, floating over lava. Many identical islands were visible in the surrounding area. The chest on the island was replaced with a trapped chest; while there were no traps physically on the island, opening the chest caused the entire island to disappear and the following message to appear in chat:

[@] Get trolled lol

Coordinates: (-██████, -█████)
Description: The area was covered in a large quantity of minecarts, causing the client's framerate to drop significantly. Agent Adams used the client's autoclicker function to clear the area of minecarts, discovered that the area was originally a plains biome, and decided to set up Site-418 here.

On 2018年07月19日, in order to test the OPERATOR Protocol's effectiveness, the Gaming Department attempted to use the technology developed through Project OPERATOR to transfer SCP-CN-████ into a specialized server. SCP-CN-████ is a Euclid-class anomaly requiring the consumption of 2.5 kg of gold per day to maintain containment.

For this test, a containment server was prepared; the spawn point of this server is located in a ×ばつ4 m bedrock room and equipped with a command block system to spawn 64 gold ingots in the containment room every 3 minutes. The containment server was hosted on Database Server #451 at Site-CN-71.

<Begin Recording>

[14:15:56] Site-CN-71 security personnel bring a computer into SCP-CN-████'s containment chamber. Agent Millie Xu proceeds to enter the chamber.

[14:17:24] Agent Xu, in accordance with Dr. Friedman's instructions, opens the Minecraft client and uses a previously prepared account to enter SCP-CN-3513.

[14:17:59] Agent Xu right-clicks, activating the portal generator. A 3.5 m by 3.5m doorway appears to the right of the computer. SCP-CN-████ expresses fear, and begins to attempt to break free of its restraints.

[14:18:31] Security personnel tranquilize SCP-CN-████, loosen its restraints and push it into the portal.

[14:18:36] The portal automatically disappears. At this point, Agent Adams, physically located at Site-79, attempts to use the in-game gold ingot items to fulfill the containment requirements.

[14:18:59] Agent Adams confirms that the in-game gold ingots are sufficient to maintain containment, and begins the inter-server transfer ritual.

[14:25:12] The transfer ritual is completed successfully. Security personnel logged into the containment server confirm that SCP-CN-████ is located within the containment chamber.

This test is considered successful, and SCP-CN-████ did not breach containment from this point forward.

Dr. Friedman:

I have seen SCP-CN-3513's report. This server typically has 500 players online at the same time, which indicates that the anomalous activity surrounding Minecraft may be a lot more prevalent than we thought. Minecraft is the best-selling game of all time, after all, so I think we should pay it a bit more attention.

I am considering establishing a subdivision entirely dedicated to Minecraft-related anomalies. Your Site-418 can be under the Minecraft Division.

And if you want, I can make you the director of this division.

Director Katsurou:

That would be great.

The anomalous activity in the Minecraft community is certainly more than we initially imagined. During Project OPERATOR, I noticed mentions of "Letters Network" in the chat. We investigated and discovered that it has over 70,000 concurrent players. I don't know how we missed such a large anomalous server, but that means that we definitely need to pay more attention to the Minecraft community.

Dr. Friedman:

I have already invited some interested personnel. You should already recognize most of them, but I want to mention Dr. Makimiya. Even though she didn't participate in Project OPERATOR, she deeply understands the situation in the Minecraft community. I hope her expertise will be of help.

Another thing: All important personnel of the Gaming Department are required to maintain a presence at Site-79. Of course, as a subdivision head, you'll be important, so I need you to come over to Japan. Don't worry, Site-79 is still a Main Foundation site, so everyone here can speak English with you.
