Special Containment Procedures: The Foundation is to continuously monitor missing person reports on a global scale for any reports that may relate to SCP-CN-3440, in order to gain an understanding of the pattern followed by SCP-CN-3440 so as to preemptively prevent subsequent occurrences. Upon discovering an incident of SCP-CN-3440, personnel are to immediately begin preventing anyone from making contact with SCP-CN-3440-1 until its timer reaches zero. All civilians involved are to be administered targeted amnestics.
Description: SCP-CN-3440 is a series of anomalous incidents occurring randomly throughout the world. The anomaly manifests in the form of a translucent white area (designated SCP-CN-3440-1) measuring 10 cm x 5 cm with the text "skip" in red and a 30-90 second countdown timer. SCP-CN-3440-1 may randomly manifest 5 cm to the right of the head of a subject when they attempt to recommend or promote something to another person. SCP-CN-3440-1 will follow the subject's head until the timer reaches zero, at which point SCP-CN-3440-1 will fade away and disappear. If any solid object touches SCP-CN-3440-1, both it and the attached subject will disappear instantaneously. All attempts to locate the missing subjects have failed.
