Item #: SCP-CN-3049
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-CN-3049 are to be stored on an office desk in a Safe-class object containment chamber at Site-CN-96. Due to the limited number of SCP-CN-3049, instances may only be retrieved for research.
The Foundation is currently researching a means of mass-producing SCP-CN-3049 instances for use as a compact form of emergency rations and as benefits for employees.
Description: SCP-CN-3049 is a collection of 900 780 535 217 182 154 sheets of A4 paper, variously colored red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, white and black. Instances are designated SCP-CN-3049-1 through SCP-CN-3049-9 based on color.
SCP-CN-3049's anomalous properties occur when they are folded into any closed shape with an interior volume of at least 10 mL. At this point, SCP-CN-3049 will become unable to unfold, and the interior volume of the object will be filled with biological matter primarily consisting of glutinous rice (seeds of Oryza sativa var. glutinosa). After the object is completely filled, the instance of SCP-CN-2049 will enter its active state.
If an active instance of SCP-CN-3049 experiences a temperature above 80°C and a humidity above 90%, the paper part of the instance will transform into a wrapping composed of bamboo leaves (Indocalamus sp.) tied with string, with its contents consisting mostly of the aforementioned glutinous rice as well as various additional ingredients. This type of food is commonly referred to as zongzi. Zongzi resulting from SCP-CN-3049 are indistinguishable from non-anomalous zongzi.
Zongzi produced by SCP-CN-3049 will take the shape of whatever shape the original instance was folded into; its contents depend on the color of the SCP-CN-3049 instance
Addendum: SCP-CN-3049 types and corresponding ingredients. (With the exception of SCP-CN-3049-3, all SCP-CN-3049 will produce glutinous rice in addition to the listed ingredients.)

Discovery: On 2024年06月10日, 900 sheets of SCP-CN-3049 (100 of each type, packaged in envelopes by color) were transferred to Site-CN-96's command site using a thaumaturgical ritual, alongside instructions for use (including a guide on how to fold origami tetrahedra from A4 paper) and a sticky note, reading:
The Duanwu Festival is once again upon us. It's been two years since we sent that present to Site-CN-67. Perhaps you might have thought that the zongzi growing on it were a bit too small. We have heard that this facility is quite big, so we thought we'd send more zongzi this time.
As usual, have a good Duanwu Festival, our dear Jailers.
