Item #: SCP-CN-2868
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-CN-2868 is currently in storage within the Safe-class storage depot No. 43 at Site-CN-10010. Requests for access and experiment should be made to the leader of the research group for the item.
Description: SCP-CN-2868 is a standard porcelain urinal, white in color (Fig. 1). When a human subject consumes urine from the interior of the object, the urine produced at next urination would have the appearance, odour, taste and gastronomic texture of chrysanthemum tea, while the composition remains unchanged.
The object was damaged at recovery, with an outflow blockage.
Addendum: Experiment Log — Conditions for Anomaly Manifestation
Experimental subject | Method | Result | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
D-5632 | Subject was instructed to lick the struvite (urine stone) from the edge of the object (approximately 20g), then to swallow it down with saliva. | Anomaly not triggered. Subject reported no change in the appearance, smell, taste and flavor (henceforth characteristics) of urine produced. | Subject displayed resistance and physiological discomfort, with acute regurgitation. This is considered normal response. |
D-5632 | Subject was instructed to lick the struvite (urine stone) from all surfaces of the object (approximately 260g), to rinse their mouth with water allowing for recovery of urine from components dissolved in water, and to swallow. | Anomaly not triggered. Subject reported no change in the characteristics of urine produced. (Henceforth, experimental results with no changes would be marked idem. ) | Stronger response from the subject. Subject inquired for the expected experimental results. Subject not informed. Subject then requested to be assigned to other projects. Request denied. |
D-5632 | Subject was instructed to urinate inside the object (with approximately 350 ml of urine), then lick and drink the contents. | Idem. | Subject displayed severe resistance and expressed refusal to use urine from self in experiments. This is considered a valid concern while having low risk of affecting results. A researcher suggests that providing tools would aid the experimental process. Both requests were approved. |
D-5632 | Subject was given a 300-ml measuring jug, then instructed to drink 500 ml of urine collected from other human sources. | Idem. | Subject calmed down. Subject repeated the enquiry on expected results. Subject was given a partial description of item properties. A different researcher raised the concern that the introduction of tools prevented the fulfilment of conditions for anomaly, affecting accuracy of results. Tool confiscated. |
D-5632 | Subject was instructed to drink 500 ml of urine collected from other human sources. Subject was allowed to clear the blockage in the object in order to allow rapid liquid transfer into the oral cavity, with the condition that the lips touch the inner surface physically.. | Idem. | Subject inquired whether the research group would taste or smell urine for confirmation of results. No response was given. Subject requested to be assigned to other projects again. Request denied. |
D-5632 | Subject was instructed to drink diluted urine collected from other human sources (approximately 1 L) from within the object, under same conditions as before. | Idem. | Subject repeatedly laughed without apparent cause. Subject also displayed abnormal behaviors including spraying urine used in experiment onto their own face, submerging head inside urine and tearing off clothing, affecting accuracy of results. Psychiatric review of subject reveals no mental problems in subject. Subject continues to participate in experiment. |
D-5632 | Idem. | No change in appearance of urine was observed. Subject reports that their own urine has the odour of chrysanthemum tea, has low amounts of sweetness tasted, and a fresh and fragrant flavor. | The research group considers the experiment a tentative success. Subject expressed positive affect for the first time when informed. Sweetness as mentioned piqued the interest of the research group. |
D-5632 | Subject was given chrysanthemum tea samples of four different sweetness levels, instructed to taste and memorize characteristics of each. The prior experiment was repeated, while the subject was instructed to compare the sweetness with the four samples, indicating which level of sweetness is most similar to urine produced. | Experiment forced to cancel. | Subject experienced an emotional overwhelm. After interrupting the experiment, subject again requested change in personnel assignment or termination. Request denied, with reasoning that subject is experienced in handling SCP-CN-2868 and is suitable for the role. |
Experiments on SCP-CN-2868 are ongoing.
