Item #: SCP-CN-188
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-CN-188 is to be contained in a standard Humanoid Anomaly Containment Chamber and provided with daily living needs. SCP-CN-188 may be provided with books it requests as entertainment; however, all other requests must be approved by the Site Director. SCP-CN-188 appears to appreciate the works of Marx and Engels. It is recommended to avoid assigning religious personnel to SCP-CN-188 guard duty.
Description: SCP-CN-188 is a human male with a thin figure, non-anomalous with the exception of lowering the ambient Hume readings below 0.5; its own Hume reading constantly fluctuates between 2.0 and 3.0. This indicates that the anomaly is a high-level reality bender, despite the fact that reality external to the anomaly does not show signs of being affected by reality-bending effects.
SCP-CN-188's anomalous properties manifest as the fact that within the range of the anomaly's perception, no phenomena that contradict SCP-CN-188's worldview will occur. Anomalies brought within SCP-CN-188's perception will cease to possess anomalous qualities, and low-level reality-benders will have their abilities neutralized. However, upon leaving the range of SCP-CN-188's perception, all anomalous properties will return.
SCP-CN-188 has expressed deep dissatisfaction with the Foundation limiting its personal freedom, and has rejected cooperation. Attempts to use the object as a replacement for a Reality Anchor are forbidden.
The anomaly was first discovered while recontaining SCP-CN-███. During this incident, SCP-CN-███ attempted to use its abilities to create a spatial anomaly in order to escape Foundation pursuit. At this point, SCP-CN-188 drove onto an overpass in the affected area, causing the spatial anomaly to be neutralized. After SCP-CN-███ was captured, it was discovered that its abilities had diminished significantly. By analyzing surveillance images and Kant counter readings, the existence of SCP-CN-188 was confirmed.
The O5s are very interested in SCP-CN-188 - that "reality stabilizer" you discovered.
After they read the incident and testing logs, they said that it had a lot of hidden potential, and could even be a Thaumiel-class.
You know, he doesn't just counter reality-benders. We're in the middle of giving him some Safe-class anomalies to test. My god, he really is the key to everything. Where we previously had to individually counter each anomaly and devise a different containment procedure for each one, we can just throw this guy in and be done with it.
Based on the testing results, he's completely harmless. Besides neutralizing anomalies, he has no particular powers.
I have already prepared to discuss cooperation with him. I collected some documents to show him, so at least he knows what the Foundation does.
Of course, if you know what's up with him, then that would be the best. We hope to see something like him being mass produced.
— Site Director █████
Yes, I've figured it out.
No, SCP-CN-188 is not a "reality stabilizer". Based on the data, he lowers the ambient Humes instead of raising it.
I have talked to him before. He is merely a materialist reality bender. It's only because he doesn't believe that the anomalous is real that he neutralizes every anomaly brought before him, then reinforcing the idea that the anomalous doesn't exist in his mind.
Please don't make him deal with any more trouble. If he sees something too strange with his own eyes, his belief might waver. The best we can do is to maintain the current state of affairs.

Dr. Chen: Hello, I'm Dr. Chen, the one responsible for your containment procedures.
SCP-CN-188: "Containment procedures"? Sounds like something from a novel.
Dr. Chen: This isn't a novel. These are Foundation documents. I've chosen a few of them for you to read.
SCP-CN-188: Of course not. It doesn't fit the definition of a novel. This is a genre that I haven't read before, but it seems to be… a work of fiction.
Dr. Chen: These documents are all real. Our work is to counteract them, and we want your help.
SCP-CN-188: No. I'm completely normal, and you guys are all crazy. There can't possibly be a statue that snaps your neck, or monsters that rewrite reality to their whims. And you say you are a scientist — you must know what constitutes proof. Come on, prove it to me. And keep those documents full of images you stole off the internet for yourself. They're the kind of stuff you'd find on an online amateur writing site.
Dr. Chen: You… consider yourself "completely normal"? If that were the case, you wouldn't be here talking to me.
SCP-CN-188: So you're saying I'm one of these things? An SPC?
Dr. Chen: It's SCP. Secure, Contain, Protect — SCP.
SCP-CN-188: I don't care what you call them. Where is my document, then? What kind of monster am I?
Dr. Chen: I'm sorry, I can't show you any documents related to your containment — but I can say you are a reality-bender.
SCP-CN-188: Reality bender? Hah, what a joke. Is that what you call the X-Men? What is my superpower?
Dr. Chen: You deactivate the other anomalies. If you were to see any of the things you've read about in these documents, they would become ordinary before your eyes.
SCP-CN-188: Normal? Then there's basically nothing wrong to begin with, right?
Dr. Chen: No. It's very strange.
SCP-CN-188: They should've been like that from the start. There are no fire-breathing dragons in your garage.
Dr. Chen: And so you will staunchly believe that there are no paranormal phenomena in this world? That incidents and mythology that science can't explain are all baseless?
SCP-CN-188: Yes.
Dr. Chen: I understand. Keep believing that.
SCP-CN-188: Hey, don't go, when are you gonna let me out of here?
Note: This interview was conducted on the fourth day of SCP-CN-188's containment. Following this interview, Dr. Chen established the current containment procedures.
