SCP-CN-1735

Item #: SCP-CN-1735

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: A full understanding of SCP-CN-1735 has not been reached. Full information regarding SCP-CN-1735 must be obtained through infiltration or diplomatic means, after which its effectiveness is to be determined. The SCP-CN-1735 research team has been established at Site-CN-76; all fully functional SCP-CN-1735 are to be contained at this site. If it is determined that SCP-CN-1735 is an advanced but explainable scientific phenomenon, the SCP classification is to be nullified and this document archived.

Description: SCP-CN-1735 refers to a precise pattern for logistics transportation, referred to as the "one-in-three logistical model"; developed primarily by the "Nine Schools Monitoring and Suppression Platform", one of the Global Occult Coalition's Council of 108. The GOC has plans to use this system to transport goods in some emergency situations. As of this writing, the information obtained from both internal and external sources is insufficient to determine the exact details of SCP-CN-1735.

Transport of goods in accordance with SCP-CN-1735's specifications are extremely effective in terms of either secrecy, efficiency or integrity, but extremely ineffective in the other two aspects; which aspect is chosen appears to be random. Current information indicates that this random factor cannot be affected or avoided, and can only be known after beginning the transportation process.

SCP-CN-1735's effects only begin after the goods leave the departure point, at which point all external factors will be considered part of the logistical process. Computer models of SCP-CN-1735 show the same abnormal results, and canceling the transport and resending the goods seems to result in the random aspect being selected again.

Addendum: Partial list of known uses of SCP-CN-1735, recovered from GOC internal database:

  • Russia to Iran, containing GOC-developed vaccines, focusing on secrecy. Cargo was unearthed at a construction site in Tehran over two years later; the package was heavily deformed, but the vaccines were still usable. GOC internal documents state that the exact route and process cannot be tracked.
  • Singapore to Ethiopia, secret orders, focusing on efficiency. Order was sent to all involved GOC personnel by a fiber-optic connection that had been completed the previous day, without encryption. This connection appeared to be a throwaway project made to appease higher GOC management, and the connection's throughput and speed had deteriorated a week later due to poor quality materials.
  • Russia to central Pacific Ocean, tactical guided missiles, focusing on integrity. These missiles were sent in an emergency, targeted at [REDACTED] in the central Pacific Ocean. When counterattacked, the missiles split into over 126 thousand small explosives, breaking through the target's protection through sheer numbers and destroying the target. GOC internal documents indicate that the missile was an experimental, non-anomalous model, which the person responsible for the launch accidentally launched.

Currently, 48 GOC logistical operations have been confirmed to use SCP-CN-1735, with another 274 suspected to use the anomaly. The Foundation believes that the greatest tactical value is derived not from the extreme focus on one of the three aspects, but from after-action analysis and reuse by the GOC. Statistics indicate that the GOC's logistics has increased by 9.77% as a result of this technique.

Currently, only one organization unaffiliated with the GOC is known to have participated in the design of SCP-CN-1735. The Foundation is currently attempting to obtain more information about the object from Directorate K through diplomatic means.
