Item #: SCP-355-KO
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-355-KO only appears around Researcher Seo Eun-woo, so he must always carry a recording device. Upon confirmation of the appearance of SCP-355-KO, Researcher Seo Eun-woo must respond as per the standard response protocol.
Description: SCP-355-KO is a human whistling sound generated by an anomalous mechanism. It manifests around Researcher Seo Eun-woo and lasts for a minimum of 10 seconds to a maximum of 10 minutes. While the source of the sound is unknown, it is notable that the whistle is always that of a male.
SCP-355-KO often whistles well-known songs, primarily those famous around the 1980s to 1990s. Examples include Michael Jackson's "Bad," "Man In The Mirror," and Kim Wan-sun's "Masquerade."
According to Researcher Seo, SCP-355-KO tends to appear in very "private" locations. He claimed that SCP-355-KO often manifests in places such as the neighbouring bathroom stall, his closet, or just outside his shower room. The credibility of this hypothesis has yet to be confirmed.
Addendum: Researcher Seo has continuously tried to uncover the source of SCP-355-KO but has been unsuccessful. Below is a list of some of those attempts.
Location: The bathroom of Researcher Seo's residence
Action: Seo charged into the bathroom, opening the door. The lights were on, but there was nothing else.
Location: The shower room of Researcher Seo's residence
Action: Researcher Seo opened the shower curtain and shouted inside. Warm water was flowing out from the shower head, and there were soap bubbles. No other notable occurrences.
Location: Third stall of the men's public bathroom of Site-21K.
Action: Researcher exited the stall and kicked open the third stall door. Except for the toilet being flushed, nothing anomalous happened.
Addendum 2: After the 378th occurrence of SCP-355-KO, Researcher Seo found a note written on a piece of paper in his room. He documented the note and reported it to the Foundation Administration. It reads as follows:
Is this how you treat a fellow human?
You burst in while I'm taking a shit, you open the curtains while I'm taking a shower, and you kick open the door and scream while I'm drying my hair.
This has been going on for too long. It's my private life!
I've had enough. I'm looking for another roommate. I'm growing tired of this crap.
I'm going to look for another roommate. Goodbye. I hope we never see each other again.
SCP-355-KO has yet to be observed since the discovery of this note. Redesignation to neutralised is under discussion.
