A building in SCP-310-DE-B1 from inside

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-310-DE-A is placed in containment locker 14F at Technology Site-DE10, and is to be examined for the origin of its components and anomalous effects. SCP-310-DE-A's settings have been reset and must not be altered.

In a radius of 400 m, all SCP-310-DE-B instances must be fenced and disguised as industrial areas of the front company TerraSec Ltd.

Satellite images of SCP-310-DE-B, streets, airlines, and maps must be revised accordingly. Every person entering an SCP-310-DE-B area without authorization has to be removed, questioned, and subsequently treated with a Class A amnestic.

Civilian SCP-310-DE-C instances are to be injected with a class ennui amnestic. Groceries and other goods must be transported to the areas every month to supply SCP-310-DE-C instances. Posts on social networks involving SCP-310-DE manifestations are to be deleted immediately and their publishers located and amnestitized.

SCP-310-DE is contained inside a 12 x 10 x 4 m containment cell for humanoids at High Intensity Site-DE17. The ceiling of the cell is furnished with a Scranton Reality Anchor, which was fabricated in Special Site-DE15. A bathroom measuring 2 x 3 m is attached to the main cell. Furthermore, two security units with appropriate clothing, who are educated in psychology and the camouflage story of SCP-310-DE's hospitalization, are to be placed before the cell to allow for quick intervention in case of a nervous breakdown or other needs for help by the subject. If the personnel fails to calm SCP-310-DE-D, youth psychologist Dr. Hommel is to be informed. A meal is to be brought to the subject three times a day.

Description: SCP-310-DE is the collective designation for several related anomalies.

SCP-310-DE-A describes a black laptop by the brand ██████, with a 13.3 inch screen and a mass of 24 kg. A modified keyboard with additional six buttons featuring letters of a hereto unknown language, is mounted at the object. Three to four seconds after pressing the power button, a text box appears at SCP-310-DE-A's screen with the heading "Enter universe". After a valid number has been typed in, SCP-310-DE-A will load a map of the corresponding universe. Four minutes following the input of a universe, SCP-310-DE-A will visually change the room it is present in to what is depicted at the object's surface. The object is, if configured correctly, capable of altering realities or universes and exchange fragments of these, or can trigger a DK-Class-Fragmentation-and-Composition-of-Realites-Scenario.

SCP-310-DE-B1 to -B4 resemble small districts with an average surface area of approx. 0.8 km2 on (former) GDR territory, which originally came from another reality. They show a slightly higher color intensity.

SCP-310-DE-B1, -B3 and -B4 boast an architecture comparable to the one by 2001 Germany. Vehicles and terminal equipment are up-to-date. GDR flags are sporadically seen in SCP-310-DE-B. Local snack bars by the GDR, such as Grilleta, Katwurst, or Krustina can be found. More differences of this nature have not been discovered thus far or are not worth mentioning.

SCP-310-DE-B2 is a special containment site disguised as steel plant that 2 reality-bending SCPs were in.

SCP-310-DE-C is the designation for humans inhabiting SCP-310-DE-B. Normal interaction with the instances is allowed, as they pose no acute threat. The vogue of the SCP-310-DE-C instances can be compared to that of the GDR in 1985. SCP-310-DE-C instances exhibit an unusual willingness to help.

Employed SCP-310-DE-C instances were questioned about U-310-DE, the universe of origin by SCP-310-DE, by the Foundation.

See list for relevant information:

• France did not vote in favor of the German reunification, fearing another acquisition on Germany's part, which is why East and West Germany are not united, but feature an open boarder and a torn-down Berlin Wall.

• The GDR inside the baseline reality of SCP-310-DE seems to no longer be a satellite state of the USSR.

• The planned economy was replaced by free-market economy.

• The relation with West Europe and especially West Germany is friendly.

• The GDR is a member of the European Union in the baseline-reality of SCP-310-DE.

SCP-310-DE-D is a 1.78 m tall man at the age of 17 named Johann Rabler. The subject weights 68 kg. It has black shoulder-length hair, green eyes with a blue boarder and a 5-day mustache. It wears a white t-shirt beneath a red-black checkered shirt, a black jeans and Nike-branded shoes, and constitutes a level VIII reality-bender. Psychological tests on SCP-310-DE-D diagnosed it with Asperger syndrome.

In light of the subject's observed behavior, language and mental mental state, it is assumed to blame itself for the appearance of SCP-310-DE. The truthfulness of this assumption is pending has been classified as false.

Discovery: On the 12/6/2020, the Foundation received a radiogram of a female SCP-310-DE-C researcher. She reported of a small discoloration in the surrounding area. A six-headed team of MTF agents was sent to the coordinates specified and found SCP-310-DE-B1 there. To maintain secrecy, amnestizitation protocols were performed around the areas and SCP-310-DE-B subjected to a Ennui amnstizitation protocol. Accordingly, multiple disinformation campaigns were initiated. Several antimemetic drugs were spread to erase the memory of the areas' former inhabitants. Social media posts pertaining to SCP-310-DE-B were also deleted. Residents of said areas who were not on site or people working in them were implanted false memories.

Addendum: Dr. J█████ proposed the termination of all SCP-310-DE-C instances to ease containment, which was denied. Dr. J█████ was subsequently assigned to a new project.

Addendum-310-DE-1:

Interviewee: SCP-310-DE-D

Interviewer: Dr. August Hommel

Foreword: SCP-310-DE was treated with tranquilizers prior to the interview. This interview was conducted to gain information about the backgrounds of the manifestation of SCP-310-DE, as SCP-310-DE-D claimed to be its cause. SCP-310-DE-D suffered a nervous breakdown during the first attempts of conducting an interview.

<Begin of Interview, 12:59 pm>

Dr. Hommel: Hello, SCP-310-DE-D.

SCP-310-DE-D: Hello, Dr. Hommel.

Dr. Hommel: This is the second attempt to conduct an interview with you, SCP-310-DE-D.

SCP-310-DE-D: The third.

Dr. Hommel: Correct, and I have an assumption why you didn't answer. You don't like it when people ask you questions.

SCP-310-DE-D: That is correct, Dr. Hommel.

Dr. Hommel: You repeatedly said the sentence ,,It's my fault" in fetal position, and my guess is you mean the current situation.

SCP-310-DE-D: Yes… yes, I do. Yes …

Dr. Hommel. If you don't mind, I would like to know what you mean by that.

SCP-310-DE-D: I had an argument with Dr. Önster. The one from our reality. He wanted me to use my abilities to hurt others.

Dr. Hommel: Let's hope he didn't mean the civilian population.

SCP-310-DE-D: No. No, he meant people like me.

Dr. Hommel: So other SCPs. He probably wanted you to neutralize them. But that contradicts our motto.

SCP-310-DE-D: That was what I tried to explain to him, then he got angry. I could stand it no longer, so I returned back to my room and in order to reassure myself, I went to SCP-097-DD.

[Remark: SCP-310-DE-A was considered to be such a low threat that SCP-310-DE-D was allowed to use it. This has been revised by now.]

Dr. Hommel: And then it happened.

SCP-310-DE-D: No. When I was able to calm myself, SCP-097-DD had to be tested. I handed it over and then it happened a few minutes later.

Dr. Hommel: Listen. This is not your fault, given that it happened during the test, as I understand it.

SCP-310-DE-D: But I had altered it somehow. So many tests were done on SCP-097-DD and nothing like this had ever happened, so it must have something to do with me. This is also just… just a part of what I had created.

Dr. Hommel: I don't understand what you mean.

SCP-310-DE-D: You were probably not told how I came to their attention.

Dr. Hommel: You're right. Tell me more.

SCP-310-DE-D: It started back in 9th grade. It was a nice summer day. We had computer science and had to work on a faulty code. There… there I had… a kind of daydream. I was in a dark and weightless room. The only thing I could see was something like a light anomaly. Rather a ball. It talked to me. It said something like that I do not use my potential and what a waste I am. I asked it how it would know me and it answered that it had created me for a bigger plan. I didn't want to believe this thing, but what can I do against a god thing? Then, I woke up. As I was running back home, I saw two older girls annoying a 1st grader and wanted to intervene. I came up to them, yelling they should stop, and when I intervened, both girls were teleported on the road nearby and almost hit by a car. Became an SCP three days later.

Dr. Hommel: Wow. That must have been very burdening.

SCP-310-DE-D: You do not traumatize two classmates every day.

Dr. Hommel: Yes … I believe that is enough for today. We can continue tomorrow.

SCP-310-DE-D: That would be for the better, yes. Bye, Dr. Hommel.

Dr. Hommel: Bye, SCP-310-DE-D.

<End of interview, 1:03 pm>

Afterword: SCP-310-DE-D was returned to his cell. Dr. Hommel will be, due to his competence in handling SCP-310-DE-D, promoted to the head of the project's SCP-310-DE-D department.

Addendum-310-DE-2:

Interviewee: Dr. Jorlim (SCP-310-DE-C instance)

Interviewer: Dr. Geist (General leading researcher)

Foreword: This interview was conducted by Dr. Jorlim at his own request, due to the claims of SCP-310-DE-D.

<Start of interview, 2:29 pm>

Dr. Jorlim: Thank you for taking the time to talk to me.

Dr. Geist: No problem, what do you want to talk about?

Dr. Jorlim: The SCP-310-DE project. I'll just make a clear sweep. SCP-310-DE has been my fault, not SCP-310-DE-D's.

Dr. Geist: Wait, what?!

Dr. Jorlim: Yes, it should have just been a test on SCP-310-DE-A, but the fool I am became too damn curios and changed the settings of the program. There, I found a "Edit map" feature and simply circled four spots. I didn't know something like this would come about.

Dr. Geist: You do know this will have consequences for you.

Dr. Jorlim: I am aware of that fact and also stick with it.

Dr. Geist: How stupid can you possibly be. You have been working for the Foundation long enough to be in possession of a level 3 clearance, but make such a grave mistake?! Are you kidding me?

Dr. Jorlim: I know… It would be no wonder if I am being terminated or degraded to D-class.

Dr. Geist: I can reassure you, a dismissal will be the worst. You are of SCP status after all.

Dr. Jorlim: I am sorry ...

Dr. Geist: You should be. This interview has ended.

Dr. Jorlim: ...

<End of interview, 2:31 pm>

Afterword: Dr. Jorlim had been made redundant and amnestitized after the interview.
