Special Containment Procedure-α: SCP-1941-JP is contained in a special containment room located underground of Site-8100. It is restricted for people authorized to access this document to enter Site-8100. Only MTFい-0("Unit Zero") will be dispatched to guard the facilities. MTFい-0("Unit Zero") is allowed to conduct countermeasures including immediate termination in case unallowed people approach Site-8100. It is currently promoted to expand military power based on combat incident counterplan protocol for next SCP-1941-JP-1 appearance. However, it is necessary for personnel without assigned researchers who will be involved in this protocol to keep it secret until December 8th, 2040. Special Containment Procedure-β including false information of the location of SCP-1941-JP will be accounted as "Special Containment Procedure" on December 8th, 2040.

Special Containment Procedure-β:SCP-1941-JP is located in the Special containment room at the 9th basement floor in Site-8181. 7 personnel having Level 5/1941-JP security clearance have to be allowed to enter the Special containment room. Personnels announced about this Special Containment Procedure should be assigned to units written in attachment and conduct training for SCP-1941-JP-2 inactivation protocol. Assigned personnel are to be sent to SCP-1941-JP-1 in case it is confirmed SCP-1941-JP-1 appeared. It should be conducted to obey personnel with Level 5/1941-JP security clearance, they are also unit leaders, for details.

Description: SCP-1941-JP is a mechanism with nine connected components. All components are made from iron, and it was confirmed eight of nine components have objects in a manner similar to mummified human bodies by non-destructive inspection. However, any attempts to check the mechanism inside by disassembling them. The other component is estimated to be an operation mechanism to appear the following anomalousness, and confirmed to not need any external power.

SCP-1941-JP’s anomalousness is determined to appear to set a target date and time using the operation mechanism and press a button to finish the process. In case the appearance process above finishes, anomalous processes will occur about combat operations such as interstate wars and civil wars breaking out at the day. There are numerous unknown points about selection criterias of fights, for instance, it is unknown how targeted combat would be chosen if a day with two hostilities erupted is chosen, and if personal fights are chosen. However, it was considered anomalous processes and massive history alteration would occur, therefore any experiments about activating SCP-1941-JP are prohibited.

The first phenomenon of anomalous processes is that approximately two time-space anomalies appear where targeted combat was conducted after 100 years from targeted time. These time-space anomalies are connected to another time-space referred to as SCP-1941-JP-1, and keep connecting for 24 hours. It can be done to transport weapons and personnel, and come and go between our time-space and SCP-1941-JP-1. Situation immediately before targeted combat is replicated in SCP-1941-JP.

The second phenomenon starts after 24 hours from the appearance of time-space anomalies. Weapons and personnel taking part in and belonging to each force appear in SCP-1941-JP-1 and start a war in this phase. Force recorded to have lost in targeted combat is specified to SCP-1941-JP-2. All weapons belonging to SCP-1941-JP-2 are replaced to ones manufactured with technology when anomalous processes occur, consequently 100 years after the targeted date. However, troops recorded to have won are maintained to use weapons manufactured with technology of targeted day. Therefore, it is extremely likely to win SCP-1941-JP-2 due to their gap of technology if there is no external help.

The third phenomenon arises when SCP-1941-JP wins/loses in combat in SCP-1941-JP-1. Time-space anomalies connecting between our time-space and SCP-1941-JP-1 reappears at that time, and personnel who entered SCP-1941-JP-1 are able to escape from there. The time-space anomalies exist for 24 hours and disappear. There are no further anomalous processes if SCP-1941-JP-2 loses. In contrast, there has been only one case which seemed SCP-1941-JP-2 had accomplished to win. In addition, a huge history alteration occur to change the winner of targeted combat to SCP-1941-JP-2 in our time-space. Please refer to this case in the following Containment History and Combat incident 1941-2.

Containment History: The most primordial record of SCP-1941-JP is when the Tokugawas and Shūshū-In conducted cooperative missions in 1645. It was committed since the Tokugawas gained information that warlords and their vassals in western camp lost in the Battle of Sekigahara were planning to subvert the shogunate by using anomalous objects. One of the purposes is to draw out how to use and origins of anomalies including SCP-1941-JP. It was attempted to capture people planning to raid, however, the origin of SCP-1941-JP has been unknown since all people involved committed suicide or going missing. It was seen as highly likely individuals knowing solar calendars related to design SCP-1941-JP because the targeted date displayed on the operating system was October 21st, 1600, which is the date the battle of Sekigahara was conducted in solar calendar.

However any anomalousnesses suspected relation between SCP-1941-JP, time-space anomalies were confirmed to break out Combat Incident 1941-1. The following document was compiled from documents related to this incident by Shūshū-In.

Combat Incident 1941-1 -October 21th, 1700
Result: SCP-1941-JP-2 lost to prevent history alteration.
Detail: Personnels of Shūshū-In and vassals of the Tokugawas joined to help the Eastern camp fight against the Western camp. It was recorded that weapons were nearly on par equivalent, however, offsprings of warlords in the Western camp had belonged to SCP-1941-JP-2, and they were considered to have gone into there from the other time-space anomaly. Personnels of Shūshū-In attempted to alienate Hideaki Kobayakawa and succeeded. Time-space anomalies reappeared after the escape of Mitunari Ishida.

Shūshū-In continued containing and investigating SCP-1941-JP by gaining support of Edo Shogunet. Nevertheless the document of Shūshū-In inscribes that they refused support in the middle of 19th century, when the shogunate was being overthrown, to prevent SCP-1941-JP from being used by the Tokugawas.It was revealed that Shūshū-In had been secreting SCP-1941-JP and continuing containing and researching anomalies by obtaining support from the Meiji government despite Shūshū-In's politically neutral stance.

The second SCP-1941-JP activation incident occurred immediately after the Seinan rebellion war erupted in 1877. This incident broke out to be raided by a group revolving around Shūshū-In personnels of former Satsuma domain. It was described that one of the group members had been killed by a gun in the containment room of the relevant object. In addition, the operation system had displayed the date of the Seinan rebellion war, however it had been unknown if all operations had already been done. Therefore, it was concerned that anomalousness of SCP-1941-JP would appear in the Seinan rebellion. They had expanded their military in 1945, when Shūshū-In and the Foundation were integrated, for the combat incident in 1977 to recognize the danger of history alteration.

Combat incident 1941-2 -August 15th, 1964
Result: Unknown. Forces that fought in this incident and researchers testified they had been ordered to help Britain but they had lost though it was recorded the Foundation had ordered to help Satuma domain. If the history "Satuma domain succeeded to repel British warships" were correct, there would be no reason for personnels of Satuma domain to target this war, so it was judged history alteration occurred. Moreover, it cannot be declared to triumph two combat incidents made sure to happen, and reclassification to Keter was requested and approved.
Details:Time-space anomalies appeared in Kagoshima Bay, all personnels went into them boarding a ship. Satuma domain, SCP-1941-JP-2 at this time, deplored lots of land attack aircraft, and started attacking British warships and Foundation-owned ships with direct bombardment from land bases established in Satuma bay. Foundation-owned ships returned fire by expanding carrier-based fighters and bomber aircraft. However, British ships commenced retreating out of bay when they had taken a hit or been moderately damaged. SCP-1941-JP-1 reappeared when they got out of the combat zone.
Note: Satuma domain was able to defeat the British navy, however they recognized the limit of Sonno Joi movement in violent ways and abetted the anti-shogunate movement in common-known history. Despite this, Foundation force members gave testimony that Satuma domain had recognized the limit of Sonno Joi movement to lose against the British navy, and there had been no significant differences after the incident. Japanese branch requested the Foundation's main office in the US for help as it happened suddenly, support forces were sent to Kagoshima bay. Only Ships of Japanese branch, Japanese branch personnels, and Japanese personnels belonging to the main office were able to enter. Therefore, it was considered only Japanese and weapons made in Japan are able to participate in combat. An experiment about the point was conducted in Combat Incident 1941-3.

The combat incident above was refight of Anglo-Satuma war, not refight of Seinan rebellion war forecasted by the Foundation. The rematch broke out in 1977.

Combat Incident 1941-3 - February 15th, 1977
Result:SCP-1941-JP-2 was defeated to prevent history alteration.
Details: Two time-space anomalies appeared in Kumamoto and Kagoshima. It was prioritized to protect government forces, and commenced attacking from Kumamoto. SCP-1941-JP spread approximately the whole Kyushu island, also, combat started when SCP-1941-JP-2 had invaded Kumamoto castle. Against tank-focused SCP-1941-JP-2, the Foundation decided to air strike them by bomber aircraft. The Foundation successfully retook Kumamoto castle. It was difficult to defeat all forces of SCP-1941-JP-2, therefore the Foundation switched to accomplish the term or the loss of SCP-1941-JP-2. The Foundation forecasted the term to be the death of Takamori Saigo, and started a blitz attack to SCP-1941-JP-2 headquarters. The Foundation struggled with SCP-1941-JP-2’s guerilla war plan, but it succeeded in getting advice about the geography of Kyushu in 1877.
Note: The experiments of the conditions for entry into SCP-1941-JP-1, which was revealed to exist in the previous combat incident, clarified that Japanese or weapons made in Japan are able to enter, however there were still unknowns regarding the nationality, materials, etc. This anomaly was discovered in the Edo era under Japanese national isolation policy, it was assumed the policy made up the conditions. However, the hypocrite is not confirmed from Shūshū-In documents, and is still a hypocrite.

Moreover, the third activation incident occurred during the raid against Shūshū-In and the Foundation by Unit Negative Numbers after the Pacific war.
Shūshū-In had been transferring its personnels and anomalies to be assimilated to the Foundation after the Pacific war. However, Unit Negative Numbers attempted to deprive SCP-1941-JP during the confusion of control system and dispersal of containment information. MTF of the Foundation succeeded in thwarting their plan. However, according to documents of Unit Negative Numbers, it is confirmed that they had already activated SCP-1941-JP. It is also certain that they are going to support SCP-1941-JP-2.

I think you know why this significant organization, Japanese branch, has been born, why high loyalty to the Foundation is essential to view the document, and why fake Special Containment Procedure was released for most of personnels. Some of you may have been confused, even if you swear allegiance to the Foundation. But I will declare to cast aside your confusion.

We have to stop our fabricated victory by ourselves.

As you know, our country lost a big war in 1945. It changed Japanese history the most, and also it could be a new beginning for Japan.
Unit Negative Numbers caused this incident since they could not come to terms with the rout of Japan.If they succeed in activating the object, we will need to take action at least 2041, at most 2045.

f we lose, it means Japan won in 1945 due to history alteration, would Japan prosper more than now? Or would Japan fail?

The answer is simple. We don’t know.

Perhaps we would be able to take advantage of the benefits of our triumph, or we would get involved in another war to fall into ruin. Then, the most frightening future is the collapse of Japan, World, and civilization.
You may think there is no evidence of the collapse of civilization. However, is there any evidence for choices of history? Human history has been continuing just like a fine thread. Evidence for it is just afterthoughts in hindsight. After all, our history is an accumulated choice from numerous choices.
If you think about it, it was "unknown" where the "thread" leads for Japan in 1945 from a lot of choices, and what would happen after choosing a choice we do not know. If so, we need to anticipate "2045 which K-Class Scenario had occurred" as the worst case.

I have said there are some confusing people, however, perhaps, it is because you will need to protect the loss of Japan, make Japan lose by yourselves.
However, we are personnels for the Foundation. Keep SCiP away from human beings to protect innocents in secret. We have to protect "history with no human extinction."

Fortunately, we have been walking through history without being extinct. We shall not abandon fragile, but certain history. We shall not bet our destiny on a gamble to reverse Japanese defeat.
