Special Containment Procedures: SCP-166-PT cannot be effectively contained due to its nature. MTF PT6-Ο designated "The Light Hunters" should go everywhere SCP-166-PT can possibly be located or appear.
The duty of MTF PT6-Ο is to retrieve instances of SCP-166-PT-1 and ensure that they are brought to Site PT6 to prevent civilian casualties. For this, MTF members carry specialized equipment called "True Darkness", consisting of sunglasses and a suit covered with an abnormal liquid capable of absorbing abnormal light rays.
Light sources designated as SCP-166-PT-1 are currently contained in Site PT6 for testing.
Description: SCP-166-PT is an effect that affects light sources randomly in Portugal. Light sources affected by a color change are called SCP-166-PT-1. The color change is a passive effect of SCP-166-PT. People affected by the third stage of SCP-166-PT are designated SCP-166-PT-2.
The active effects of SCP-166-PT begin after direct observation of the light source for at least ten minutes. After 10 minutes of exposure, the individual who visualized the light source will begin to see their environment distorted, changing the perception of straight lines, which become waves, and creating an impression that the ground is shaking. The maximum recorded time for the optical effect is one hour.
SCP-166-PT was found in Lisbon on 06/11/2015 during the investigation of a village where 30 people died. Three members of MTF PT6-Ο were sent to the village as a result of inquiries that detected anomalous activities in the area.

| 30 minutes after exposure: | D-Class no longer responds to scientist's orders. D-Class starts breaking any possible object in the room in which they are. The eyes of SCP-166-PT-2 change completely to white and they repeat the phrase: "The Light shows the way, sends me to court so that I may be judged". |
| 40 minutes after exposure: | The skin and fingers of the D-Class begin to change to white, showing a phenomenon similar to calcification. D-Class still doesn't respond to orders and continues to cry. |

6-Ο Ima: Perfect. Control, are you listening?
Control center: We are receiving.
6-Ο Ima: We are stationed in front of one of the houses in question.
Control center: Remember to wear your sunglasses and keep them on at all times.
6-Ο Ima: Confirmed.
The three put on their sunglasses and get out of the vehicle.
6-Ο João: The village is quite calm.
6-Ο Marc: It's sunny today, maybe they went for a walk?
6-Ο João: I doubt it a bit, look at all the cars around us.
6-Ο Ima: And it's too far from the beach or any pool. I doubt they would walk so much instead of driving.
6-Ο Marc: Control, do you have any information about the anomaly?
Control center: No new information. All we know is that the anomaly has started to use more electricity than normal and is visible in thermal vision.
6-Ο João: Refresh my memory: why the sunglasses?
Control center: The anomaly appears to have the form of a light bulb, in addition to emitting light. That's why we avoid any eye contact with it and avoid the rays of light with sunglasses. They have been modified with a thin layer of an abnormal liquid that absorbs abnormal light rays.
6-Ο Marc: So, semi-abnormal glasses to stop abnormal light? Hmm. Practical.
6-Ο Ima: Well, let's enter the home. It seems normal. and I have to see if there are people through the window.
6-Ο João: Okay.
6-Ο Marc: Okay.
6-Ο Ima checks the windows of the residence while Marc and João are observing the area.
6-Ο Ima: Lights are turned off in the house, nothing to report otherwise.
Control center: Understood. Go inside the house and see where the anomaly is coming from.
6-Ο João and 6-Ο Marc join 6-O Ima on the side in front of the door.
6-Ο João: (Gently opens the door.) Door open, let's enter the house.
The three enter the house and take out their weapons.

6-Ο João: (Finds the electrical panel.) Let there be light… (activates the electricity) and so be it.
Once the light was on, they saw a dozen skeletons accompanied by clumps of white dust.
6-O Marc stifles an expression of disgust and surprise, calling 6-O João after focusing his helmet camera on the skeletons.
6-Ο João: What's wron-Oh brothel!
6-Ο Ima: Control, do you see this?
Control center: We see indeed, but we focus on anomaly recovery. We will send a cleaning team after your visit.
6-Ο Ima: Okay.
The three are looking around.
6-Ο Marc: Huh…hey, look at this lamp…
The other two are looking at the lamp.
6-Ο João: Is it black?
