SCP-007-KO
rating: +1

Item #: SCP-007-KO

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-007-KO should be stored in a standard safe grade SCP containment chamber. The humidity inside the containment chamber must never exceed 20%. Only personnel with Security Clearance Level 2 or higher are allowed to enter the containment chamber, and they must undergo a check to ensure they do not carry any type of liquid items before entry. While personnel are inside, the unmanned surveillance cameras installed within the chamber begin recording. The cameras continue recording up to 20 minutes after the personnel have exited.

It is forbidden to spit, urinate, or supply moisture to SCP-007-KO in any other way inside the containment chamber. Violations may result in reassignment to the containment team of a Keter Class SCP, depending on the severity of the incident. After each visit, the humidity must be remeasured, and the dehumidifying system inside the containment chamber must be activated. If moisture is observed inside the object or the humidity is high, it is considered a containment breach, and a cleaner originating from D-class personnel is assigned.

Description: SCP-007-KO is a pure white, clean and flawless toilet of a simple, mass-produced type, without any additional attachments like a bidet. When exposed to a humidity below 20%, this object becomes completely inert, and all moisture inside the toilet is entirely removed. However, if either of these conditions is not met, a sudden water level increase within the object is observed. Within approximately █ minutes to 1█ minutes, it reaches that of a typical toilet.

When the water fills up to a certain point, SCP-007-KO begins to generate a large amount of toilet paper from the drain within █ minutes to █ hours. The origin of these toilet papers is unknown, but they have been identified as ordinary two-ply budget cosmetic toilet papers commonly sold in markets. Further investigations revealed that this type of paper was once used for military supplies.

The object soon clogs its drain with the generated piles of paper. Any known method of unclogging a toilet can temporarily work. However, for a fundamental solution, it is necessary to empty the water in the toilet, thoroughly evaporate any moisture, and maintain an environment with humidity below 20%. If the paper is not removed within █ hours, the object will start producing more undesirable byproducts, such as human faeces, sewer sludge, clumps of hair, etc. Consequently, the water level gradually rises, and the water becomes opaque. Approximately ██ hours later, it ultimately results in [DATA EXPUNGED], leaving remnants throughout the bathroom and a severe odour.

Analysis of the composition of the faeces produced by the object indicates that it resembles the end product of a normally digested Korean set meal, with no human intestinal cells or DNA detected as if it was artificially manufactured through a machine. Over time, the faeces grow more putrid in terms of hardness and bacterial proliferation.

This object was initially discovered in the first stall of the soldiers' bathroom at the headquarters company of the Republic of Korea Army's ████ unit. After the incident on ██ ██20██ (see Incident Report 007-KO-1), the battalion commander, who grew suspicious of the phenomenon, requested an investigation from the Foundation, and the object was subsequently retrieved in cooperation with the military unit.

Addendum 007-KO-1:

Since SCP-007-KO was secured by the Foundation, various experiments and containment breaches have revealed the following products it produces, listed in order of their appearance over time, though none took more than 3█ hours to manifest:

  • ██ brand's budget 2-ply cosmetic toilet paper.
  • Human faeces in various conditions.
  • A mixture of sewer sludge and clumps of hair.
  • Wooden chopsticks, typically found in pairs, sometimes broken.
  • An improved form of "hardtack" ration packaging from the year ████, empty.
  • Empty instant noodle containers with remnants of broth, noodles, carrots, and seaweed pieces.
  • A black shoelace, apparently removed from combat boots, tied in a noose.
  • A K-1 gas mask canister, completely ruined by water exposure.
  • A single 5.56mm K100 cartridge casing, marked by impact, with no bullet present.
  • Torn pieces of a notebook with content classified as military secrets, scribbled in clumsy handwriting with the phrase "must memorize."
  • A Lieutenant Colonel's rank insignia attached to [DATA EXPUNGED], confirmed to have belonged to ███the unit's battalion commander before the object was secured. Following communication with the Foundation, ███ stated that he had not lost anything

Note: Damn, I don't even want to imagine how much the squad leaders in this unit must had to run around the drill ground in their final year. - External Researcher ███

Incident Log 007-KO-1:

On ██ of ████, 20██, Sergeant Major ███ of the unit discovered [DATA EXPUNGED] crammed inside the object. Although badly crushed, the handwriting of the battalion commander's name and rank made it easy to identify the owner. That evening, all the squad leaders of the entire unit were disciplined according to military law, and the matter was also reported to Lieutenant Colonel ███. However, he knew he possessed all two items and had lost nothing, prompting his suspicion and subsequent contact with the Foundation.

Note by External Researcher ███:

Even after being contained by the Foundation, this object continues to produce items that fit where it used to be. It is mainly producing large quantities of Choco Pie wrappers and secret note slips. I suspect that this object may be maliciously tormenting the soldiers of that unit, especially the privates. The question then arises whether this object possesses some sort of consciousness. However, considering that it seems unaware that the Foundation has contained it, it might not be the case.
