Item #: SCP-CN-216
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-CN-216 is contained at the Historical Weapons wing of Site-CN-43's Anomalous Weapon Containment & Operation Unit (AWCOU) warehouse. The use of SCP-CN-216 for experimentation requires Level 2 or higher clearance.
Description: SCP-CN-216 appears to be an ancient Roman tower shield made of wood. Analysis of the wood used indicates that it originates from an extinct species that formerly existed in the Tuscany region of Italy. Carbon-14 dating shows tha the object is a genuine ancient Roman artifact. SCP-CN-216 is 60 cm wide, 120 cm tall, and spans a 30° angle, with metal-lined edges and a metallic handle. SCP-CN-216's wooden part has a self-repairing property, which enables it to recover from any degree of damage within 0.1 seconds.
Retrieval Log: On 20██/█/██, police in ██████, Zhejiang Province were met by strong resistance during a raid on a tomb-looting group, after which [CONFIDENTIAL] armed police were dispatched to suppress the resistance. During this process, one member of the group used the object to block non-lethal bullets fired by the armed police officers. The subject was later arrested and the object was sent to Site-CN-43.
Addendum: SCP-CN-216 Experiment Log:
Date: 20██/██/██
Personnel: D-2214
Details: Use a dagger to pierce the object from each side.
Result: When attempting to pierce the object from the back, the dagger passed through normally and the object regenerated after the dagger was removed. When attempting to pierce the object from the front, the dagger did not emerge from the other side of the object. D-2214 was instructed to remove the dagger, but was unable to successfully do so. The dagger could only be removed by breaking the blade. The point of the blade has not been retrieved.
