What an interesting idea. I hear that when making biological SCPs, it's easiest to make them look like something manmade, so that you don't accidentally make something that actually exists in nature.

I wonder why the author chose と out of all the different hiragana and katakana that could've been used. Maybe it was just randomly selected.
