Variant of Barrel

Trigger Barrels are objects that appear in the Donkey Kong Country television series. These barrels are composed of an upper and lower part connected by a rack and they have several symbols depicting white outlines of explosions (similar to the one on Exploding Barrels and Blast Barrels) on both their inner and outer edges. They are produced by Bluster Barrelworks.

As their name suggests, their purpose is to activate booby traps on the bridges leading to Cranky's Cabin in order to defend it and the Crystal Coconut from enemies like the lizards. Six Trigger Barrels are present around the cabin.

Trigger Barrels serve an important role in "Double Date Trouble", where they become broken and Donkey Kong tries to retrieve new ones. However, due to Donkey Kong delivering too many Trigger Barrels, Cranky gets furious at the bill.

In Uho'uho Daishizen Gag: Donkey Kong , the Trigger Barrels at Cranky's Cabin are replaced by common barrels.
