本作は第39回グラミー賞の最優秀オルタナティヴ・ミュージック・パフォーマンス賞を受賞した[12] 。

雑誌『NME 』において、1996年の年間ベスト・アルバムに選ばれた[13] 。雑誌『Rolling Stone 』では、「1990年代のベスト・アルバム100」で第9位に選ばれたほか[14] 、「史上最も偉大な500枚のアルバム」の第306位に選ばれた[15] 。また、ウェブサイト『Pitchfork 』による「1990年代のベスト・アルバム100」では第19位に選ばれた[16] 。
