WelcometoWikiProject Redirect! We are a group of fellow editors who are dedicated to the improvement of the standards, categorization and maintenance of redirect pages. This is important, because redirect pages in the article space outnumber actual articles by about 3 to 2.

Finding redirects to a page

To check all of the redirects that link to a page on the default skin, go to the Tools section at the top-right of the page and click on the link labeled "What links here". There, you can use the filters to show redirects. You can also access the tool by going to Special:WhatLinksHere and typing in the page title.

The Association of Redirectionist Wikipedians supports this WikiProject!

Scripts

Sagittarius – a redirect editing gadget.
Capricorn – a modified version of Kephir's gadget updated February 2018 with more Rcats.
Archer – a user script forked from Sagittarius+ maintained as an alternative to Capricorn. It keeps the old rcat order, though. It's also said to be more lightweight.
redirect-helper - a more modern redirect editor with dropdown menus and support for editing template parameters, categories, and more. It is frequently updated to contain a list of all rcat templates.
NoRedirect – a script for preventing being redirected when clicking on a redirect link.
Twinkle – a tool that can easily tag and categorize redirects, among other things.
Redirect Creator – a script for mass-creating redirects
