Wikipedia:WikiProject Louisville/Participation

This is the WikiProject Louisville Participation and outreach department, a starting point for participation in our project. As our project follows the model of an action center, working in the project in an official basis means that instead of acting as members of a club, we become listed participants who voluntarily work on the project's tasks, with no deadline.

Here are things new participants in WikiProject Louisville are encouraged to do:

1. Especially Encouraged: Become acquainted with our project's goal and scope, as well as our list of tasks.
2. Optional: Add yourself to the List of WikiProject Louisville participants below.
3. Optional: If you have added yourself to our list of project participants, you may add {{WPLouisville-Participant }} (banner) or {{User WPLouisville }} (userbox) to your user page. Participants who use the banner will see all project alerts. Examples are below.
4. Optional: Place WP:WikiProject Louisville on your watchlist, so you can keep track of new project developments and discussion. It may be useful to watch some of the project's subpages as well.
5. Optional: Introduce yourself on our project's talk page.

Even though listing oneself below isn't required, following are the benefits and responsibilities of being a listed participant in WikiProject Louisville:

• Potentially receiving special communications from our project, such as newsletters and major alerts.
• Displaying our really cool project banner on your user page or user talk page.
• Publicly demonstrating your interest in Louisville area-related subjects, or just showing your community pride!
• Potentially getting asked project-related questions from other project participants and Wikipedia editors at large.
• Whenever you appear on our project leaderboard, your entry will be bolded with a gold background!

1. Listed participants must have a Wikipedia account.
2. Participants in this and following participant lists are sorted in alphabetical order. If a participant's username or displayed name contains their last name as a separate word, they are sorted using that.
3. Wikipedia editors who have been inactive (no edits done) in over 7 years, or have been indefinitely blocked (after a 6-month grace period for appeals), will be pruned from the list. However, they are very welcome to re-list themselves if they return to Wikipedia.

• Alan Canon - Native Louisvillian, born late 1960s. Resident of Wilder Park. Hacker, musician, Explorer of the Mammoth Cave system.
• Chris24 - Born in Saint Joseph, raised in Audubon; former resident of Old Louisville, Jeffersontown, & Graymoor-Devondale; current resident of Worthington.
• Chroniclerk - 40 years in the old neighborhood downtown, Old Louisville/Limerick Historic Residential District. Trying to broaden our historical understanding of the diverse peoples who contributed over the years to the building of this still diverse and vibrant urban-core neighborhood.

• Alex Duvall - Born in Louisville's East End. Currently lives in Louisville.
• FloNight - Resident of Georgetown, KY/Lexington, KY for past 23 years. Use to work in Louisville and spent many weekends in Louisville for youth soccer games.
• Fruitscones - Born in Louisville, raised in Louisville and still loving and living in Louisville. Current resident of Germantown.
• Jcembree - Portland resident, currently a student at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky..
• Jubatus45 - Native Louisvillian, resident of Oldham County.
• Khalfani Khaldun - Grew up in Windy Hills until I moved to Austin, Texas for college.

• Kyhiking - Current resident of Beechmont, former resident of Valley Station, and an alumnus of the University of Louisville.
• Matthew - I'm a Louisville transplant originally from Michigan. After living in St. Matthews, and old Louisville, I now reside in Portland (west Louisville). I love our city!
• Ken McCamish - Native Louisvillian if you count the Sunny Side. Also often edits the French and Spanish Wikipedia articles on Louisville and Southern Indiana.
• Moreau36 - Tampa, Florida resident but have couple of extended relatives in Louisville plus my hobby is geographical places in the United States and U.S. Census figures.
• Ost - Current resident. I'm editing pages, so I may as well join the project.

• Mark Rabinowitz - Louisvillian since November, 2014, born late 1960s. Resident of Portland. writer, editor, journalist, publicist, filmmaker, political activist
• RGFI - Some random guy from Clarksville, Indiana
• saccarte - Louisville Current resident.
• Seicer - Lexington resident but travel to Louisville all the time to do photography, visit college friends, and play in the downtown/riverfront.
• ShampooCell - Highlands resident for 20 years and Louisville native. Graduate of DuPont Manual Magnet High School.
• Sjbodell - Kentucky native, have lived in Louisville for four years in historic Old Louisville. Now a grad student at the University of Louisville.
• StefenTower (formerly Stevietheman) - Citizen/native of Louisville, University of Louisville alumnus, founder of this project.
• Weweedmaniii Lifelong resident of Fairdale, currently living in Southend.
• WmArbaugh - Lived in Louisville from 1966 until 1993, then moved to New Albany, Indiana. Working on a project listing Louisville area inventors.
• Zotel - Lived in Jefferson County area until 2000, then moved to "extended suburb area" of Shepherdsville.
