The now defunct DRN and an apology
[edit ]I hope now you understand what I was trying to get at[2]... No matter how hard we tried at DRN this editor was just going to end up sabotaging it if it wasn't going their way (which it wasn't, they didn't want a RfC they wanted DRN to say that they were 100% right and nothing else). I have general confidence in you and DRN, but neither your or DRN can pickle this particular cucumber. I apologize that I came across as a particularly prickly cucumber vine myself, you do good work at DRN and I was too short with you as a result of my frustration with this endless cycle of bludgeoning and escalation. Draft: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties
[edit ]Hi there,
I wanted to appeal your rejection of my draft submission the other day. It appears there may have been some misunderstandings that I need to clear up:
1. While Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties are referred to as separate games, they are only sold as one combined game, thus I made this article intending for both games to share. The separate links to each game will be edited later to redirect to this page specifically, as I do not intend to make separate articles for each game.
2. Regarding the reasoning of the page being "too soon", I also don't see how it is too early to make the article for the games, seeing as they release in 3 months from now. Another game, Resident Evil Requiem, also releases in the same month, and has already had an article published, so I fail to see how this reasoning applies to Kiwami 3/DT. If there is something I'm missing here, please clarify. The boss 1904 (talk) 09:41, 9 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Snowy owl main image
[edit ]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Greetings, Mr. Robert McClenon. It's me, Protector. Sorry to disturb you, but I'd like to open up the dispute about the snowy owl main images. Can you help to open up a RFC for this? Currently, image 1 being the owl with duck and image 2 being the adult male. I'd like to make a suggestion: adult male as image 1 and owl with duck as image 2. Just to follow the examples of certain articles of animals where image one is male. Protector100 (talk) 08:43, 10 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

- User:Protector100 - It is not helpful to ask me again a second time immediately after a previous notification. I am not always in front of my computer, and might by asleep. Are the images in question at Snowy owl? Robert McClenon (talk) 15:31, 16 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:Protector100 - Have you tried discussing on the article talk page? I will, at my convenience, prepare an RFC, but I will only launch it after there has been discussion. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:41, 16 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Ad nauseum I am afraid. This issue was settled. Robert, you assisted us in brokering an agreement at the end of May which Protector100 broke shortly thereafter on June 17. I reverted the edit and posted in the Snowy Owl talk page that if there were any issues with the lead image that it should be discussed on the talk page. You can review my talk page Talk under the headings "Please do revert yourself" "Image" from our last dispute and under "Suggestion" for the resumption of the dispute.
- Protector100 conceded that he broke the agreement and that he was preoccupied by other things at the time he made the agreement. Furthermore at this point the new objection is merely the order of the images 1 and 2, not the removal and replacement of the lead image with a new one.
- You'll also see that there was an edit war at one point and I had to explain WP:3R on their user talk page, which was blanked afterwards. [3]
- I don't believe opening a dispute resolution will be fruitful. I request that the original agreement be enforced and if other users feel the images should be changed, let them open a discussion in the Snowy Owl talk page. We've all put sufficient time into this. I suggest stare decisis. Needsmoreritalin (talk) 04:34, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Yes sir. I already started a new topic about the lead images at the talk page. Yes, it's about the current lead images of snowy owl. Protector100 (talk) 02:50, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Questions
[edit ]- User:Protector100 - I said that there should be discussion on the article talk page, Talk:Snowy Owl, if you want an RFC. Stating that you are about to launch an RFC is not discussion. My first question for you is why you think that it is important to have an RFC on the arrangement of the images. Is there a reason why it will affect the quality of the encyclopedia? Also, it is my understanding that you and User:Needsmoreritalin had reached an agreement, so I closed the discussion. What do you think that the agreement was? Robert McClenon (talk) 05:14, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:Needsmoreritalin - It was my understanding, which is stated in the DRN archive, that you and User:Protector100 had reached an agreement, so I closed the DRN. What did you think was the agreement? Robert McClenon (talk) 05:14, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Yes. The issue was resolved. And User:protector100 is not being entirely honest.
- We finalized our agreement on my talk page on May 30 and May 31, 2025 -- you can verify this by visiting my page, but here is the account:
- Okay, I'll go by your decision. The adult male and owl with duck as lead images. I have a suggestion, the adult male in captivity as image 1 and owl with duck as image 2. But if it really means that much to you, then owl with duck as image 1 and adult male as image 2. You decide. This will be settled without Rfc then. Protector100 (talk) 14:41, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for this compromise. I will make the changes. Needsmoreritalin (talk) 18:19, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- I made the edits and created and created Talk:Snowy_owl#Lead_image_compromise
- On June 17, User:protector100 made an edit to change the order of the images. I reverted that change on July 29. three months later this appears on my talk page: User_talk:Needsmoreritalin#Suggestion
- This editor should be made aware of the 5 Pillars. This is not the only page where they have caused disruptions. With all due respect the comments and opinions come across as domineering.
- Archived Talk Page
- I responded a few minutes ago to Talk:Snowy_owl#Planning_to_launch_a_RFC_on_lead_image_arrangement to clarify why the image of the female / Subadult is statistically more likely to represent a bird seen in the wild by an individual. Furthermore, a simple google image search will yield far more results of birds with black barring than the mostly white, adult males. And Unless you visit the high arctic, you’ll mainly be looking for Snowy Owls during winter in wide-open areas such as fields and shorelines. It is younger birds pushing further south that are seen in these locations.Needsmoreritalin (talk) 16:12, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Before I proceed any further, I would like to know whether the two of you think that you reached an agreement. If there was an agreement, it should not be changed without a reason. I don't want to open a new DRN unless there is a good reason. I also don't want to see this go to WP:ANI. So I want to know what each of you thinks was agreed, and whether there is a reason to change the agreement. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:14, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- I agree wholeheartedly which is why I have mentioned stare decisis. The decision was made, let it stand. I have already provided the receipts. Needsmoreritalin (talk) 21:54, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Answer for the first question: Last time in May, you said something about the RFC, sir. Like this: Just answer the question by the moderator as to whether that is the scope of the dispute. If that is the scope of the issue, then a Request for Comments will be used to choose between the current one image and the proposed two images. So I think RFC will be used for the image decision. Also for the agreement, I made the offer by giving suggestion that image one be adult male and image two be subadult/adult female. But the other user went on without my suggestion. I only agreed that the adult male and the owl with duck as lead images. I did not even agree that the owl with duck as image 1. Protector100 (talk) 06:31, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- That is false. He said "But if it really means that much to you, then owl with duck as image 1 and adult male as image 2. You decide. " I made the edits. Its also important to know that that was the only lead image from August 3, 2024 until March 4, 2025 when User:Protector100 began making his edits. Needsmoreritalin (talk) 16:28, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- I am closing this discussion for two reasons. First, I haven't seen an explanation of why an RFC to change the order of the two photographs is in order. I don't see an explanation either that a previous agreement should be changed or that a previous agreement has not been followed. This doesn't meant that there isn't a reason, but I haven't seen it. Second, I made a mistake in asking questions on my user talk page, because I am getting repeated email notifications that there have been posts to my user talk page. So discuss on the article talk page, Talk:Snowy Owl. A request may be filed at DRN, because there has been sufficient lengthy inconclusive discussion. However, participation at DRN is voluntary, and Needsmoreritalin may decline to take part in DRN. So discuss at the article talk page, Talk:Snowy Owl, or report disruptive editing to WP:ANI after reading the boomerang essay. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:16, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Inquiry About DRN
[edit ]- @Robert McClenon Greetings! I'm not allowed to file a case at WP:DRN? You reverted my case but without explanation how my case was insufficient?. I have discussed matter on article talk page also on user's talk page before coming to DRN. Please elaborate how my case was not suitable or what was missing. Email Khan hazzarvi (talk) 10:10, 10 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- @Robert McClenon I don't understand how this was improperly filed? [4] I missed the diff link I need to attach diff links of talk page discussions? Where I discussed the matter but was not solved? Email Khan hazzarvi (talk) 10:12, 10 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:Email Khan hazzarv - I will explain this here, since you are blanking your user talk page, which is not helpful. There was one main problem with your filing, and lesser problems. As to the main problem, look at the DRN page. Do you see a heading Do you need assistance? and a large blue button Request dispute resolution? Many (not all) noticeboards have such a button. If there is such a button, it is the proper way to file a case. As to the secondary issues, because you tried to reuse an old case as the new case, you gave the case a state date in October 2025. That immediately alerted me that something was wrong. Also, you didn't notify the other editors of the filing. So, if you want to file a DRN case, press the blue button and enter the information. Then notify the other editors that you have filed the case. Be ready for me to ask you exactly what words you want to change in the article. If a noticeboard has a button to file a case, use the button. That's what it's for. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:14, 10 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Please cast a pedantic eye over this newly created mainspace article, one which I had previously draftified. I am too close to this to make a valid judgement on AfD vs leave to take its chance. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 12:55, 2 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Presence of AN discussion re the Henry Todd thing
[edit ]Hey, sorry I missed the parallel AN discussion; I just forgot to look. I'll try to do a better job of remembering to check there when looking at new case filings. Is there an easy way to check every relevant forum at once? ('"') (Mesocarp ) (talk ) (@) 05:03, 3 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:Mesocarp - For various reasons that I don't want to explain on-wiki, that dispute was a case that should not be touched without first verifying from a distance what sort of protective equipment is needed (against - electric shock? radioactivity? biological hazard?). Blanket questions at AELECT
[edit ]Hi @Robert McClenon!
Please be careful when submitting blanket questions to AELECT candidates. I have removed your question as a monitor action, as it was essentially a repeat of Q1. If you wish to ask for more clarification regarding a particular candidate's answer, please be more specific, as asking (nearly) all candidates to re-answer a standard question isn't conducive to beneficial discussion. Battle of Maritsa
[edit ]Hi there,
I’m just writing to you out of curiosity on why you closed the Battle of Maritsa in the way you did?
As I’ve mentioned previously, I am currently away on holidays, which is why I am inactive on Wikipedia, but I must say that I’m a little surprised by your decision and felt the need to write to you about it.
On the actual TP of the battle in question, every single user (including Aeengath) agreed to Shkodër + a footnote, but Aeengath went back on that and opened up a DRN. However, consensus was already established for ‘Shkodër + footnote’, so the whole process was unnecessary.
I noticed that you asked for a summary of what each side wants in the DRN, which Aeengath in all honesty hijacked and guided without opposition simply because I’m not available to contest it. They made it appear as though there’s agreement for that decision, but if you look at the TP on the Battle of Maritsa, there was not. I would give you links to users agreeing with ‘Shkodër + footnote’ and everything else, but I am writing from my phone and honestly don’t want to spend my holidays debating something which already had a conclusion. I believe @Himaldrmann had the same concerns as I regarding how this was closed.
It’s not too big of a deal, but it is disappointing to see a user somehow claw their way out of a consensus agreement by misguiding a moderator on a DRN. Again, I’m just curious as to how you came to the conclusion that there was consensus for such a change. Did you ever read the TP discussion in full per chance? Botushali (talk) 00:41, 9 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:Botushali - I have reopened the DRN case. I have looked through your previous posts for a statement that you are not actively editing Wikipedia, but I am not sure that would have made a difference. I do expect you to make a statement in the reopened case after I finish making a reopening statement. To answer your question about reading the article talk page, I had read the article talk page, and concluded that the discussion was lengthy and inconclusive. I do not always read lengthy and inconclusive prior discussion in detail, because I prefer to mediate disputes starting over, because previous discussion was not useful. So please make a statement as to what you want the article to say, or I will close it again. Robert McClenon (talk) 06:17, 9 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

[edit ]Hi @Robert McClenon, back in April you commented, "If this draft is accepted, it should either take the place of the present disambiguation page, Penn Foster (disambiguation)." I see the reason for the most recent submission decline is: There already is a disambiguation page. If there are no other issues with the article, is it still possible for the article to take the place of the present disambiguation page? DegreeDriven (talk) 19:58, 12 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:DegreeDriven - There needs to be a disambiguation page, because there are three Penn Fosters, and acceptance of the draft would be a fourth. The question is whether the draft can be accepted as Penn Foster and the disambiguation list moved to Penn Foster (disambiguation), or whether the draft should be given some other distinguishing name. If it is accepted, all four articles should be listed. I will look at the draft in more detail again within 48 hours.

Article: Maria Dorota Czajkowska-Majewska
[edit ]Thank you for another feedback. I have corrected, I hope, the two reference formatting issues you noted in the last review. Regarding the concern about reliable sourcing: should I partially quote the supporting evidence, for example "The NIMH Director described her contributions as a discovery in a 2022 statement", and then place the reference link? Or in the Annual Reports of the Polish Psychiatry Institute, would it help do provide the page number, where the detailed description of the author's research is provided? [edit ]Sorry about the missing BLP references, my fault. I have added three of them. One is a reference about the author (M.D. Czajkowska-Majewska) from the Archive of the Science of Poland, with information about her education (Early life and education section). The second one is the author’s CV from the webpage of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, Warsaw, Poland (Academic career section). The last one is a listing of the author’s popular publications from the website of the National Library of Poland (Science outreach section).
