Should the July 23, 2026 Upper West Side stabbing of a Jewish congregant be included in this list if the entry uses carefully attributed language and reports that authorities charged the assault as a hate crime?
The incident received independent coverage describing the stabbing as apparently antisemitic, and prosecutors brought hate-crime charges. One editor contends that inclusion in this list would nevertheless state an unproven motive in Wikipedia’s voice and violate WP:BLP and WP:OR. Other editors contend that inclusion would reflect the reliable-source characterization rather than an editorial inference.

Should we refer to her as Alice throughout the page instead of "Princess Andrew", which is repetitive and unnecessary? Most royal pages refer to them by their first given name, such as Philip, Elizabeth, William, and Harry etc.
Editors keep switching between "Princess Andrew" and "Alice", but most royal pages refer to royals by their first given name. ItsShandog (talk) 14:34, 23 July 2026 (UTC)
Should the first sentence describe Guardiola as a Spanish football manager and former player from Catalonia ("Spain first") or a Catalan football manager and former player from Spain ("Catalan first")?
Background:
This is a perennial debate for which descriptive guidance has been compiled in the form of WP:CATLEDE#Footballers. This is not instructive.
The Catalan first option has had precedence at this article with a note asking Please do not change without discussing on talk page and reviewing RfC on Spanish regional identities; Paul Vaurie has changed this, most recently in June after ignoring attempt to discuss with them in January.
We have to reach a consensus whether we should add the infobox criminal to the existing infobox. The corruption case may be or may not be politically motivated and during the interim government, thousands of such cases were filed against the former ruler and their family members and there are controversies surrounding the cases. Moreover it is not a criminal cases like murder or rape which makes someone really a "criminal" to add a criminal infobox. So, my opinion is that we should not put this infobox criminal to the existing. See what others say about this. Bellow is the infobox in discussion: Rht bd (talk) 16:52, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
Question: Should the lead of George Kurtz include a sentence about the 2024 CrowdStrike-related IT outage, or should coverage of that event be limited to the Career section?
Background: The lead currently states: "In 2024, CrowdStrike released a software update that disrupted millions of Microsoft Windows systems around the world, an event that has been called the largest outage in the history of information technology." This sentence has been discussed above at #2024 outage in the intro? and as you can see there are differing views on whether it belongs in the lead. This RfC is to get broader input. Should stress marks on the map on the names of the subdivisions be used to aid in the pronunciation of the place names when reading the article in English?

In the paragraph related to displacement of Sinhalese in the subsection "Forced Displacement," how much detail should state/non-LTTE actions should be present? Choose one of four options and explain why.
How should the lead define "Northeast Africa" / "Northeastern Africa"?
Define Northeast Africa exclusively as the eastern part of North Africa, consisting of Egypt, Libya, and Sudan.
Define Northeast Africa as a variably defined region, noting that its usages are for broader Nile basin, Horn of Africa, Red Sea, Ethiopia/Eritrea/Somalia, Libyan, Kenyan, or geoscientific contexts.
Some other wording.

In the list "Violence by UFO believers", what is within scope for inclusion?
To an extent consistent with WP:BLPCRIME, instances of a person committing an act of violence if WP:RS documents the act of violence, and separate RS establish the person's belief in UFOs or aliens.
To an extent consistent with BLPCRIME, instances of a person committing an act of violence if RS both documents the act of violence and the person's belief in UFOs or aliens.
To an extent consistent with BLPCRIME, instances of a person committing an act of violence if RS both document the act of violence and the person's in UFOs or aliens, but not if the RS also indicates they experienced a psychological error at the time of the act.

With the character move merging both Terry and Michael's respective versions to the page, I want to discuss how much of the article weight should factor for both; in my opinion, the weight should be more on the Michael Holt version; not because of WP:RECENT (Holt has existed for 29 years) but moreover, Michael's character is the primary version of Mister Terrific since his inception to the point despite debuting in 1942, Slone has around 300 appearances whereas Michael, debuting in 1997, has over 1,000+. Now I understand character's number of appearances doesn't guarantee anything but that's a noticably wide gap there. Furthermore, it would be a lot harder to argue WP:GNG for Terry wherein Michael has had some academic focus and coverage as a African-American superhero even before the Superman movie puts him in a spotlight even if the page has not (yet) highlighed such.
As it stands, the current inclination is to treat the characters somewhat equally. My edits prior would prioritize Michael Holt as the page's focus and Terry was moved to "other versions" as a sub-heading to address the character. I would like to have some comments and other considerations to be made about this topic about this. CosmicMordecai (talk) 00:13, 31 July 2026 (UTC)

Should the lead sentence of articles on albums prioritise the date of release or order of release? For example, should it be "Exile on Main St. is the tenth studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 12 May 1972", or "Exile on Main St., released on 12 May 1972, is the tenth studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones". Should the "Life groups and discipleship practices" and "Impact on local community" sections of the article retain their current phrasing (Option 1) or be updated to incorporate detailed reporting from BuzzFeed News, The Baylor Lariat, and the Waco Tribune-Herald (Option 2)? Previous discussions resulted in inclusion of material concerning former members. In further discussions, editors have disagreed about whether the current text accurately reflects the cited sources, the amount of detail that should be included from those sources, whether the current "social justice-minded" wording accurately reflects the Waco Tribune-Herald source, and whether material from The Baylor Lariat should be included. There has been a long-running edit war on this page over the website link in the infobox, of which previous attempts to curb it through page protection and admin noticeboard discussions has failed to resolve. The dispute is centred over the inclusion of the official website link, austenasia.org in the infobox. An editor has repeatedly attempted to remove this link through several edits. On the advice of User:ScottishFinnishRadish I have other to begin an RfC to seek a long term solution to this issue.

Hi everyone. Having been informed by the earlier unanimous consensus to merge all articles at Somalia at the World Athletics Championships, I'd like to present for consideration a slate of nations whose performance at the competition I believe should be consolidated en masse into singular articles. I estimate that we could remove anywhere from 2-600 articles from the mainspace in this manner.

In light of the above discussion regarding conflicting MOS advice, should this article follow WP:OLY and use American English for the hosts or follow WP:CRIC and use British English for consistency across cricket articles? The C of E God Save the King! (talk) 11:58, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
I propose removing the provision in Wikipedia:Political endorsements that allows local consensus to overrule our general policy that facts be sourced to independent reliable sources for organizational endorsements. Specifically, I propose striking the following sentence from the guideline: Local consensus can determine whether a specific list requires independent sources or sources connected to the organization itself, such as its website or official social media accounts.
'''Some articles do not need a year''' when, in historic perspective, the event is easily described without it. Should Visual Editor become the default on mobile and/or desktop for new editors? Existing preferences are unaffected. In solidarity, —Femke (talk) 🐦 16:52, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
Should any of the following be added to WP:ITNBLURB:
If reliable independent sources generally describe an election as not free and fair, ITN should generally not report or indicate this characterization.
If reliable independent sources generally describe an election as not free and fair and Wikipedia has an article surrounding this, consensus at ITN can develop to report or indicate this characterization.

I've been workshopping an option list for this RfC discussion a moment ago and settled on the version of the list that now appears below. Each of the first four options describes a specific proposal for condensing or collapsing draft decline notices (except for the latest one on each draft), and each of these four entries is accompanied by a collapsible box containing an example of how these proposals may look in action. Although essential, all that content was too much to be displayed at the RfC listing page, so I've expanded the paragraph above it and made it its own comment. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 10:10, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
This page is for bringing attention to usernames which may be in violation of Wikipedia's username policy. Before listing a username here, consider if it should be more appropriately reported elsewhere, or if it needs to be reported at all:
you wish to have the block of a user reviewed. Instead, discuss the block with the blocking administrator (see also Wikipedia:Blocking policy § Unblocking).
Before adding a name here you MUST ensure that the user in question:
has been warned about their username (with e.g. {{subst:uw-username}}) and has been allowed time to address the concern on their user talk page.
has disagreed with the concern, refused to change their username and/or continued to edit without replying to the warning.
is not already blocked.
If, after having followed all the steps above, you still believe the username violates Wikipedia's username policy, you may list it here with an explanation of which part of the username policy you think has been violated. After posting, please alert the user of the discussion (with e.g. {{subst:UsernameDiscussion}}). You may also invite others who have expressed concern about the username to comment on the discussion by use of this template.
Add new requests below, using the syntax {{subst:rfcn1|username|2=reason ~~~~}}.
Please remember that this is not a vote, rather, it is a place where editors can come when they are unsure what to do with a username, and to get outside opinions (hence it's named "requests for comment"). There are no set time limits to the period of discussion.
Place your report below this line. Please put new reports on the top of the list.
Add the tag {{rfc|xxx}} at the top of a talk page section, where "xxx" is the category abbreviation. The different category abbreviations that should be used with {{rfc}} are listed above in parenthesis. Multiple categories are separated by a vertical pipe. For example, {{rfc|xxx|yyy}}, where "xxx" is the first category and "yyy" is the second category.
