Malaika's Wings Project, a non-profit organization
The organization was founded in 2006 with the goal of providing new and used educational supplies not needed in Japan to orphans in the United Republic of Tanzania. For children unable to continue on to junior high school, the organization built a vocational training school with junior high school qualifications, with the first school in Malya in 2011, a second school in Masasi in 2013, and three classrooms at the primary school. It also built and established a third school in Zanzibar, exporting educational supplies by sea. The organization overcame embezzlement and confiscation by Dar es Salaam customs to deliver the supplies. Just before the final shipment of supplies was due to be exported, the COVID-19 pandemic caused sea freight costs to skyrocket and the yen to weaken, halting exports. The organization handed over the remaining supplies to the Songea Orphanage, run by Tanzanians in Japan through the NPO Mwangaza Foundation, once shipping costs had subsided. Hoping for the local NPO's activities, the organization is now disbanding as its membership aging and its founding mission has been fulfilled.

YOSHI's Association
The initiative was launched in 1992 after 16-year-old Nagoya high school student Yoshihiro Hattori was shot and killed after mistaking his destination while studying abroad in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The goal is to foster friendly international exchange between Japan and the United States at a private level. Additionally, the YOSHI Fund aims to promote gun control in the United States and eradicate gun violence in Japan. American high school students (YOSHI Fund recipients) receive full support from the YOSHI Fund for their 11-month stay in Japan, experiencing life without guns. In December, a YOSHI Fund recipient visited Yoshihiro Hattori's home in Nagoya and gave a speech about gun control in the United States at Yoshihiro Hattori's alma mater, Aichi Prefectural Asahigaoka High School. They also hold discussions with students at the high school on the theme of creating a peaceful society.

NPO War Memorial Center for Peace
More than 78 years have passed since the end of the Asia-Pacific War, and people's memories have faded, and the number of people who actually experienced it has dwindled. However, that war was the largest event of the 20th century, claiming the lives of 2000 million people in Asia and 310 million people in Japan, and it is something that we must never forget.
"Peace Aichi" is a museum that collects materials, connects memories, and exhibits them so that we will never forget that war.
We run this museum in the hope that future generations will learn the lessons and take action for peace so that war will never happen again.- Interaction with international students

Nagoya International Exchange Group ICP
The student organization ICP aims to support students' first steps toward speaking English. Even if you have the desire to communicate directly with people from other countries using English, taking that first step can be courageous. Many people may feel anxious about conversing in English. At ICP, we plan and run a variety of events to provide opportunities for casual exposure to English. We strive to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment where everyone, regardless of their English ability, can gradually become more familiar with English. We hope that these activities will help students develop confidence in speaking English and inspire them to take on new challenges, such as studying abroad or working overseas in the future.

◆だいやまーく Japanese language school operation
It is held twice a week, one hour each time, at 4:30pm on Sundays (to accommodate church services) and 7pm on Tuesdays (a time when people can come after work). It has been running for three years.
There are no restrictions on nationality, but currently the majority of students are from Peru and Brazil. Initially, we used textbooks aimed at those taking the N5 proficiency test, but as many of our students are housewives, we now focus on everyday conversation and use Kumon workbooks for elementary school students to help with things like particle usage.
Last year, a total of 460 people participated, and each session was run by 5 to 6 volunteers.
Using class participants as a gateway, we are also working to support the lives of foreign residents, which is part of a collaborative project with Seto City.

Aichi Prefecture Tee Ball Association
Tee-ball is a sport very similar to baseball and softball, but there is no pitcher; instead, players hit a stationary ball. It's a fun sport that can be played anywhere with anyone, and is included in physical education classes in elementary and junior high schools. It's becoming increasingly popular because of the appeal of hitting the ball farther, as well as the fact that it's a great way to combat lack of exercise and relieve stress. The federation hopes to spread tee-ball to the people of the prefecture, fostering a familiarity with it as a baseball-style game that can be enjoyed throughout one's life, and to increase children's interest in baseball and softball and help them improve their skills. We hold tournaments every year that are open to everyone, so we hope many people will take part.

The desire to travel is one of the dreams of all young people. The Youth Hostel (hereafter referred to as YH) movement is a system designed to make travel safe, enjoyable, and economically meaningful. The movement began in the summer of 1909 when a German elementary school teacher, Richard Schirmann, came up with the idea and built a simple accommodation facility for young people within Altena Castle in Germany. The movement then spread rapidly from Germany to all over Europe, and today there are approximately 4 Youth Hostels around the world and approximately 200 in Japan, and members can use any of them.
