In order to promote exchange between individuals, various activities are planned by local government and citizen groups. UTokyo seeks to act as a link between students and the community in order to provide both sides with ways of reaching out to each other. They also organize several Japanese cultural introduction events. ●くろまるTokyo Icho-kai: An association for exchanging with foreign students Sponsored by the alumni of the University of Tokyo, this group holds monthly events, such as flower viewing, city walking tour, factory visits and many more. ●くろまるActivities and support offered by International Associations Some local municipalities (ward/city/prefecture, etc.) provide supports and assistance to their foreign residents with Japanese language and daily life.
